2018 Worlds Ladies FS

Before this competition started, I thought Osmond would medal, but that is about the only thing I got right.
And I thought it would be silver not gold.

Kaetlyn deserves this win IMO. Held it together for two programs (barely) while everybody else either fell, UR'd a ton, or had a poor short.

Well, I think there can only be one conclusion: you can slay a short program in your 30s, but you cannot physically pull off a successful free. Just not possible.

Still, major kudos, Carolina!

I am so devastated seeing Alina end the season like this, but I hope she recuperates over the summer and comes back with stronger performance and has another stellar season. She's still got Olympic gold and everyone knows today isn't a reflection of her actual abilities. Ice is slippery, freaky accidents happen.

Oh no she did? I haven't been able to watch :(
Poor girl. She's only 15, she just won the OGM and had to go to a bunch of state functions and didn't have time to train and was sick. She probably thinks it's the end of the world, and it is the end of her world as she knows it. But she is a strong little firecracker and I believe in her. I believe in the Alina that we know to rise back from this just like she did from 2016 JGP Slovenia and 2017 EYOF. She still gets GPs next season and currently tops the SB list. She can win a world medal next year. I just wish it were this year.

To see no Russians on the podium is incredibly heartbreaking. But maybe it's a wakeup call to the Russian Fed that they can't send people like Konstantinova when they could be sending better skaters.

Honestly, considering how Konstantinova skated, they could sent Medvedeva with instructions to do doubles only.

I think post-Olympics messed Alina's practice up.....

I think this just goes to show how Eteri's girls remain on top through tons of hard work and practice, not crazy diet regimens as people suggest or being Russian while skating.

Not sure if Kostner loses this or not - but LOOK at the clean triples. That flip POPS so much, AMAZING height and flow. THAT, Zagmed and the rest of the RUssians, is how to JUMP! An overhead arm can't beat the pure quality of that - and I am NOT a huge Kostner fan, even...

How crazy is this. Bradie will finish no worse then 6th. She did her best to try to keep that 3rd spot.

Worst Worlds I've ever seen. Totaly dissappointment except Wakaba. Congratulations my dear <3

I think Worlds 2012 was also very much criticised for low standard, considering it was not an Olympics year and yet the standard was very low.

I think she has pulled off a successful free at 30, just not here.
