Wow. WOOOOOW. I know I've said it before, but considering the latest developments... Zhenya, girl, you have guts. She probably realized that the only way to make it out of there was to basically run for it, breaking all ties. I hope she doesn't respond to Eteri's bashing and just goes on to live a happy life in Canada.

What Eteri is doing, revealing alleged comments Zhenya made and all is truly appalling considering she's a grown woman and Evgenia is a teenager. But I guess after what happened with Yulia I should have expected it.

Run, Zhenya, run. You'll be happier for it.

Also you're saying it's all on Evgenia, but taking that only from Eteri's side of the story. Especially since Eteri's claims that she only found out through the media don't make sense.

It makes sense to me since she might have heard the rumors but she barely uses internet or phone besides calls and sms . They might have agreed to get some time off.
I do not get Eteri hate and as a dance coach myself it hurts to see people so cruel to Eteri. For me, what makes me actually atm be at Eteri’s side is the fact that Evgenia made so many statements about her loyalty to her coach and then leave like that. Does that seem ok to you?

Evgenia has always been classy in the way she treats other skaters etc (for instance: she told her own fans off when they were bashing Radionova back when she was younger). Let's not attack her before we know her side of the story.

Nobody here knows enough to assume anyone is "completely in the wrong." Nobody here has been privy to their entire relationship. And nobody is perfect. But I am much more willing to cut the 18-year-old some slack, especially after we've seen this pattern over and over again. If your students keep leaving this way... maybe the problem is you.

I would like for Evgenia to just give a brief statement and not drag this out, personally. But I'm no PR expert, and she should get one - there's still a bit time for her team (if there's a team) to respond to this attack.

In my opinion, Evgenia is completely in the wrong here and sorry but Eteri is not some teenager who you can simply dump and announce your departure in the media. She owes at least a gesture of respect to this strong woman who took her places. Not to mention Evgenia was basically LYING to everyone in her interviews stating that “she will never leave Eteri” and “it is all lies”.

Even though this forum is a complete hate fest to Eteri, try to be just a little more understanding what she is going through right now.

I agree. Before Eteri's interview they showed this interview with Med that was made after the Olympics (?) where she's completely confident that she's not going to change coaches. It sure looks ugly now.

Of course we should wait for Med's story, but if she really left Eteri like that, not answering her calls...

Evgenia is a teenager. She could say nonsense because she was hurt after losing. Eteri is attacking Zhenya. This is horrible.

18 yo, 2 WC and Euros titles,1 Olympic Silver makes you a little bit more than a teenager I think... Plus we know how much Evgenia is driven.

I call this the "hangover" of the Olympic Silver, and it shows weeks after the event. This year, Sui/Han, Papadakis/Cizeron and Evgenia lost Gold by NOTHING, knowing that Sui/Han have been injured multiple times, P/C had a terrible wardrobe malfunction and Evgenia had the worst time to injure her foot. It could have gone either way for Gold.
Sui/Han will have hopefully the fire to win on home soil. P/C seems mentally very strong and have great people around them. These 2 teams are still the best in the world in their discipline.
I don't know anything about Zhenya, but having 10 girls jumping quads around you is NOT helping. She cannot allow herself to go through this torture every single day I think.

Eteri also had good things to say about Adian Pitkeev, just like about Sakhanovich.

What I find hard to believe is that Brian Orser is playing these games too. After his 'seperation' from Yuna and all the drama about cut ties and learning about things through the press, wouldn't he be the first one who tells a skater, no, not before you worked it out with your previous coach? Well, we don't know yet if she's really going to Orser, but Evgenia and Alina were in South Korea mid April, when Eteri allegedly didn't get any replies. So it looks like it's really happening. I also find it weird that Evgenia didn't talk with the fed? Or she did and it's something like a coup to dethrone Eteri. She's become too powerful, so some forces in Russia and in the Russian Fed worked this thing out. Intrigue at its finest. This is Versailles-like!

Zhenya does have one and he's good so hopefully he has a decent head on his shoulders and can put a stop to this. Though, well, who knows at this point.
I'm not saying it's not a low blow, on the contrary, but long term, it's probably better for Zhenya to not engage even if she does have major dirt on Eteri.

Again, you're going only based on what Eteri says. Why do you assume that what she says is all completely true or the entire story? I'd like to hear both sides, personally. Also, I think even if everything she's saying is true, I think it's wrong for a grown woman to post screenshots like a 13 year old would do. Very immature.

Yes. It is ok seeing how Eteri is. Or you think is ok for a teenager to stay with whatever coach, even with those abusive, just because they thought that they will stay but at some moment they couldn't feel well with said coach anymore? Or you think there should be no divorce just because people give their "for worse ans blah blah" in the churches?

Her only major flaw is that she can't coach grown up girls. She seem awesome, even teriffic with obeying teenagers and not with those "who are getting ready for motherhood", basically those hit by puberty. Otherwise medal-wise she's the best in the world. If you don't question her methods.
I don't hate Eteri. I just wish she were a bit wiser and not open up about certain details on her past students. Not flattering to her personality to be honest.
