4CC! And then we can have a great GS meetup!
Yes, decisions! I've concluded that I probably can't afford (either time or money) to do both.
Vancouver is much closer to me than Anaheim, but it will probably end up taking about the same amount of time to get to the two places due to the fact I'd be driving to Vancouver vs. flying to California.
Also SoCal in February sounds a WHOLE lot more appealing than Vancouver in December (no snow, but dreary grey weather....)
We'll see; it would be nice to see you again, karne.
Anyway, Jason gets a mention in Skating Magazine (http://content.digitalpub.blue-soho...SKATING/html/index.html?page=36&origin=reader) through some features on Rob Peal (page 12), who is an ice dancing coach, and his kids (and students) Elliana, 10 and Ethan, 14, who won the Intermediate title earlier this year in Ice Dance. In the article it mentions that Peal coached Jason way back in the day in Illinois that Kori still sends students his way (and Rob visits Monument to work on skating skills with her students).
We've talked a lot about Jason's improved skating skills here, and it sounds like Rob likely contributed to that.
There's also a super fun essay from Elliana on page 32. She was one of the winners of the RISE Youth Essay Contest. She mentions Jason at the end.
I also look up to Jason Brown. I started skating at the same rink as Jason when I was 1 year old (! seriously?!) and we were in the same ice shows when I was little. My dad also coached Jason and we still skate with him when we visit Colorado or he comes home. He is really nice and he tries to help me and my brother on the ice. I try to throw all my bears the ice for Jason because he gives them to sick kids.
Too cute.
By the way... Here's the Peals' FD that won them the Intermediate title: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUY_Dk1nFwg
