Evgenia Medvedeva

That's true but I feel like RusFed is no gonna drop her this season (or even the next on, they wouldn't have bothered with this international coaching change if they weren't willing to give her a chance

Hope so. But Rusfed gave her rather heavy GP with Japanese girls and Dasha Panenkova. In comparison with Alina (Rostelecom with total support and Finland with not strong competitors). It may show whom Rusfed plans to support in the first and foremost.

guys i'm sure Evgenia and Brian know all about their upcoming GP competition, so they will do everything to be prepared:)

Also, let’s remember she is coming back from an injury that kept her from jumping until halfway through May. She has her Salchow, Loop and Flip back and she’s working on the Lutz (and I assume 2A too).

She still has all of July, all of August and September before the GP series and she will do a CS competition in September so that she can assess the situation too

Well , Rusfed has not the total control about the assignment. I´am sure she told them where she wants to skate.

Interview is comping up -JohnWilsonBlades

Yes, I remember Orser’s view but... she had to qualify to get to main competitions. Is she shows her weakness on GP, she will loose support of Rusfed and will not get to EC or WC.

Let's not forget that the RusFed trusted her enough to send her to Europeans and Olympics even without participating to Russian Nationals, so it'd be really surprising from them not to support her for the upcoming season. For the next one, well... That's another story :drama:

They'll probably just release a trailer of the interview at that point :palmf:

Hope so. For the next one, I’ afraid, Trusova and Kostornaya with Sherbakova can through all others from grand slam...
If Zhenia fixes her lutz, she could increase her base.

Lovely interview! Her English is getting better and she seems confident and relaxed :)

Agreed.
The only bad thing is that the interview is 3 weeks old, the part about her training might have been more interesting if it was done more recently  But still great to see her happy, though :)

In Zhenya's new interview with Wilson Blades, she's so adorable trying her hardest to speak english even tho she knows it's not perfect :luv17:. she says the training in Toronto is different and harder than she thought but she loves it. I'm also shook at her saying Yuna Kim is her idol? i'd never even heard her mention her before. :hap85:
Sorry i'm just celebrating cause one of my favorite girls of this generation just mentioned my all time favorite :hap93:

Just like she mentioned, she loves and respects a lot of athletes. She has mentioned Asada, Plushenko, Yagudin, Hanyu. Everybody! LOL. I also love a lot of skaters.

Nice to hear her say everything's more positive. Interesting she says her training in Canada is harder. I wonder what's changed? I assume she's now more focused on gaining skill, when in the past her trainings may have consisted more of endless runthroughs...
