You know, despite Alaine's characteristic deer-in-headlights expression, sometimes I think that she actually has to be the most mentally tough and determined skater out there. She never hits it, never even has a program with only one or two minor errors. And yet, she always, always comes back, always keeps performing, and never gives up.

Sure, I wish she'd land her jumps, but I've looped around from a petty "why does she keep skating?" reaction to being sincerely impressed by her. She's clearly got the motivation and the desire in herself, so kudos to you, Alaine. Keep it coming. I believe in you.

Alaine used to be a brilliant skater who struggled with nerves and tended to fall apart. But her jumps seem unable to be salvaged, at this point. I feel so sad.
