2018 JGP Ljubljana Ladies Short Program

So I've seen Anna's skate already. Really, I would see her much closer to 70, when I compare it to last week skaters who were around 70 in SP.

i would have definitely given her higher pcs scores but those tiny jumps don't seem to appeal to the judges no matter the transitions added in and out of them! she barely gets off the ice

I don't know much about her, but it could be that she is just one of these people that always looks serious.

No, she definitely isn't... she's a very lively girl, after all.. even Tarusina who looks always super serious and focused is different off ice.. ;)

That's true her jumps are low (at least for the skater on her level) but in other aspects I have no problém with her skating.

Alena Kostornaya is showed two times as an example of positive GOE features in jumps (and she was the only junior skater there). Now we know who is Ted's favourite

He showed Rika as a junior too. Rilka and Alena were my two favorites last year:) Maybe Ted agrees

What do you mean? From skaters that left Eteri before the season, she seems to be closest to her previous level but even then she's not quite there IMO..

Plushenko was my favourite Men's skater, so I was just wondering if I was subconsciously seeing some of his style of skating rubbing off on her already.

Right, thanks for the info. As I said, this was my first time seeing both these girls, so I don't know that much about them. (Yes, I know there is social media, but I don't make a habit of adding girls that are less than half my age on Facebook. And as for Instagram, there are only really 4 accounts I would ever visit -Anna Ovcharova; Liza Tuktamysheva; Anna Pogorilaya; and Maria Sotskova).

Absolutely loved the music used in Filcová's routine. We need more rock music in figure skating!

Pity she is kinda in no-man's land in terms of the score.

Not too sure about the music so far from the girl after her...

Unfortunately not a great skate from Lara.

I wonder if she is anything to the Alpine Skiier Meta Hrovat. Or, is that a common surname in Slovenia?

TED MENTIONED JENNA!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Just a pity Jenna or Kevin are not rinkside. :disapp:

Again, like Lara Roth earlier, I was surpised that Kyarha van Tiel is still eligible for Juniors. But, it turns out that she is not quite as old as I thought she was.

Like the Middle Eastern theme of the programme. Although, the percussion was getting a bit annoying towards the end.

Goes into 9[SUP]th[/SUP], into an area that is getting quite congested.

Which will make for an exciting FS with lots of people moving about!

When I saw that dress, I would never have imagined that we would be hearing music like that!

Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, though! ;)

And I love how delighted she was with her score! (A new Season's Best)

Well done, Leona!

Good morning, afternoon and evening!

Must walk dog.

Did anyone write Ted? I keep meaning to do it and forgetting.

Is Haein's name that difficult to pronounce? It's hay-in with a short 'ay' (like the first syllable of aesthetic) fyi.
