Even in my local rink the big stars are the two girls who are just starting to work triples...they feel the pressure of the fans and club to go to competitions and win big. I've not doubt that the skates that Caroline had on the GP where she was leaving her closest competitors 20 points behind led to big expectations and pressure for nationals.
That's a good point, also- I forgot about the club folks. Still, though, this is nothing compared to the scrutiny she'll likely be under in a couple of years- that's the real point I'm trying to make: she ain't seen nothin' yet.
