Yikes, that non-throw. Looked like her foot caught in the ice. That being said, they're really good at saving things. Her jump and his spin almost went wrong but they saved them, and they kept character throughout, even immediately after missing that throw. Good for them.

Looks like she hit her toe pick accidentally/too early, and it threw off the timing for a real attempt.

when she reached back to pick she caught her toe on the ice early. she tried to recover it, but the throw was dead by then.

I think I have seen some non-throws, but they're very rare indeed. Hopefully they can recover tomorrow.

I agree with this. All things considered- that's not a bad score for missing such a big element. There were improvements in their skating, getting the level on the triple twist was huge for them- knowing them this sets them up for a good long program because they will be angry about it.

I mean, their PB is 65.something, and what is that throw worth? 6 or 7 points? So it's about what I would expect. They really didn't break character, so the PCS was good and should have been, IMO.
