Junhwan Cha

Junhwan is going to finals oh my god my hands are shaking

Oh lord I can't believe this, Junhwan, 17 years old and on his first senior GP circuit, got two bronzes with back-to-back events plus a bloodbath called Helsinki, and he is the first Korean man EVER to go to GPF. He literally just wrote history. Oh god, darling, I am so, so, so proud of you, god I just might start crying

2nd actually. He did SC last year, then WD from SA.

I'm very happy for Jun making the final. He deserves it.

Absolutely thrilled! And to think just a few weeks ago I only had a glimmer of hope, wishing very hard that everything would fall into place to get him to GPF! Congrats and can't wait!

I just want to say I love Junhwan all the more for being the sole reason I'm not a depressed mess right now.

Junhwan made it to the final!!!

Just barely, but wow. Maybe I'll go spend four hours to make mediocre gifs to celebrate.

But really, Jun is special. Thinking about him my unhappiness over today's other happenings is numbed somewhat.

So happy for him, he really did well to deserve this.....but at the same time, I think he need to throw a party for Jason[emoji51]

Jun changed his boots after helsinki- presumably to a different model? Here's hoping the new ones work for him. Getting new boots wouldn't be news but he did have trouble finding ones that fit last season... but then again, he isn't growin like crazy as he did the past two years.

All the world knows he has had enough boot problems, since he isn't growing like a bamboo sprout as he did for the last two years I think I'll be safe to hope the new ones won't cause him any more trouble.

I am hoping like mad for him to podium...

He has a decent chance if Hanyu WD. (for his sake, I hope he does. That recovery time sounds awfully tight to go, and he's won finals enough times and worlds is more important.) Just hope Jun's broken in his new boots by then- it'll will have been about a month since getting new ones. And fingers crossed for no injury flare-ups or illnesses.

First of all congratulations to Jun for making the GPF. As for making the podium, I hope he somehow makes it but even if Yuzuru WDs, gold and silver are locked for Nathan and Shoma.. and If Messing stays on feet somehow he will get that bronze, ( you know what i mean) as he will be only senior Canadian to qualify for GPF , so chances of baby Jun are very slim.

WOW, Cha made the GFP!!! That is a fantastic achievement considering he had back-to-back events and neither of those events was an easy one. Besides, I´m really so glad that he earned his place at GPF and did not get his slot at the finals because somebody got ill or injured...
