Evgenia Medvedeva

They have some good tastes in make up ;) I have some of these products at home haha XD

Glad to see her enjoy some time with friends. Before practice she was also chatting with Konstantinova :D

Haha yeah, I also own the Lime Crime palette.

Stasya seems like a nice girl, I'm also happy for her getting along well with Zhenya. :)

Okay, so I somehow started reading from the beginning of this thread, and this is a post from like the 3rd page, but I'm so happy she's so cute you guys I loved this throwback ^_^

I once did that, too. I love throwbacks like this and watching performances from her novice and junior days is especially adorable and satisfying because you can see how far she‘s really come. Zhenya was a cute kid. I still remember the video where she was with Sima at the press conference and secretly ate the chocolate from the box on the table until the japanese translator was kind enough to push it towards her. Someone from the reporters whispered: ”she likes chocolate“ It‘s my favourite little-Zhenya moment.

Does anyone know if it’s typical for skaters to stop in the middle of the run through like Zhenya did today?

I am assuming that Brian is the one clapping when Evgenia lands her jumps during her run throughs... I love it! :)

Yes, I see it all the time and not only from Zhenya. They mostly skip spins and practice them later. I was surprised the first time I saw it, too and thought something had gone wrong and there was a problem or something like this but I guess they‘re just saving energy. :)

Oh, yes! They never do a complete program, because a run through is mainly for measuring and fitting the rink. You don't do a 100% program there. You do the jumps, to see how they fit, and the step sequences, you may do some spins (but you may skip those), you are more likely to skip the trasitions.

I know, right? Like, look at how beautiful and adorable this is: https://pp.vk.me/c625318/v625318615/1476a/NXWFULW0INA.jpg
(Yes, I'm fangirling )

Zhenya's been busy since IdF. A 3S-3Lo and a 2A-3T in the FS! WOW! It's a really smart layout though -- allows her to repeat the flip and loop. Also she looks like the FS is settling in a lot better.

Hopefully not only in practice [emoji173] I am praying for 2clean skates

Her ice coverage in the step sequence for the FS seems improved? Or maybe it was just bad angles during the GPs. But impressive coverage, great speed to start off. I’d like to see her twizzles become a bit more refined, but that’s more nitpicking/polishing than a real complaint.

I dearly hope she can skate this well in competition. There’s so much joy in her skating in practises, but at IdF, there was none at all. If she could just bring that effervescent quality with her to competition, she could bring the house down.

That last spin looked fixed right?

I like the change they made to the beginning steps of Regrosso Del Amor. It looks less arm flappy.

I counted sufficient revs in the camel position, but the second sit spin position could be called by a strict panel (which I don’t expect this one to be). But in terms of meeting the requirements for a level 4, yes, she’s in the clear.

Thank you. I knew there had to be some logic behind it.

Thank you for always counting the spin revolutions. I try to do it every time but somehow I never seem to catch whether she‘s actually doing enough or not.

That‘s good to hear, though. Now we can only hope that at least part of that absolutely perfect practice translates to competition.
