2019 Europeans Men's Free Skate

Well that was pretty much a disaster for Misha. Happy for the medalists and Kevin’s placement too.

The melt downs were terrible to behold. Two positives: Javier winning his last Europeans and Matteo getting a bronze!

Oh Kevin, you were this close. Great job for Rizzo, though. The other guys helped him but what a comeback. One of the few saving graces of this event.

I'll just focus on Javi. What a career and what a way to go out breaking the record!! And just like Javi he did it in a totally relaxed way with only a couple weeks of training. He will not be forgotten!

I want to be thrilled for Javi ending his career with his 7th Euro crown but I did truly want to see Kolyada do his FS justice...

Mixed feelings right now, but all my congratulations to Javi! 7 consecutive time European Champion! :hap10:

well... matteo DID podium  but jesus christ, poor kolyada. that 3lo fall in particular looked excruciating. also, i want to kick the beehives out of everyone who were chanting samarin's name as kolyada came off the ice. rude*** turds :ddevil:

congrats to javi!

I'm happy for Kevin but oh it was so close :(
But his progression has been phenomenal this year. I hope he will continue to improve and get a medal next year

Oh! I almost forgot! Congratulations Javi! You're a true star and inspiration for all the skaters from small Feds! Who'd have thought you'd come this far from your younger days!

Thank you for your skating and may all your dreams come true as you move into your next stage of life! Don't be a stranger now!

People were chanting for Samarin? Weird.

I wonder what the Rusfed will do now. I'd be calling Voronov and tell him they might need him.

Really glad that Javier won, what a perfect ending to a remarkable career!

Feel sorry for Kolyada.

My stream died so I didn't hear, but that's really uncool especially with Misha being clearly injured :(

They should call Sergei...

Just want to comment how incredible I find Javi's competitive spirit. Yesterday his short I felt was somewhat tense, he didn't go all out with it as we've all seen him do before. But today, he was in it from the get-go. He was so confident I was swept away by the program. The mistakes happened, but he really fought for every point he could. And even then, never lost a tiny bit of the performance. Incredible.

So Kolyada gets to decide now :handw:

The moment Samarin finished I knew Misha was going to bomb. Two Russian men with a clean long in one competition is statistically improbable this season. :disapp:

Sad for Kolyada, but happy with the results!
