Between Sasha's "Hurt," all the fabulous juniors, Evan in Johnny's pants, and Weir/Gregory/Petukhov it sounds like it was a fabulous show.
Very jealous of everyone who was able to see it live, and I hope they don't chack any must-see performances from the broadcast next weekend.

Denis cut his hair???? Must have been Toni's comment she likes shorter hair on Guys.:agree:

Great pick of Johnny I am glad Michael shared and WOOO!!!! Tanith!!!! as usual - and back to blonde?

Sorry, I am a "picture reader" first. lol

The review seems promising! It says that the skaters used a variety of music. That's good.
Looking forward to watch Sasha performances.

I absolutely cannot wait to see Gregory & Petukhov skating with Johnny, and I will be so upset if that program gets cut from the broadcast. From everything I have read about the show, that number was one of the best-received of the night.

Who are Gregory & Petukhov? Never heard of them.

4 time US dance silver medalists

We went to this show last night, and it was terrific! The performances were by no means completely clean, but very entertaining. The senior level skaters all got to skate two programs. The highlight for us was seeing Melissa and Denis skate their "Adam & Eve" free dance, together with Johnny. This free dance is my personal favorite of this season, so it was a thrill to see it again (we were fortunate to attend the University of Delaware Worlds Send-Off show last month, where Melissa & Denis skated it in their original costumes, not the blue ones that I believe Johnny designed). All I can say is that ABC better show this program on their broadcast next Saturday. Since the entire show ran about 3 hours, you know that a number of programs will get chacked, but I hope not this one. It was brilliant and breathtaking, IMHO! :agree:

Here's a link to some beautiful pictures from the show:

BTW, the woman dressed as a police officer is one of the Marshalls fashion police, who checked out people in the audience, and gave them Marshalls gift cards and other prizes.

It also stated in the article that Kimmie might try to switch her combination jumps by adding a 3R instead if a 3T which may rack up the points a little for her.

I am looking forward to seeing G/P and Johnny. How innovating and refreshing for them to try something new and different.

I just don't see her doing 3loop instead of 3toe. we'll see.

I'm not interested in watching another exhibition of the same old spins and jumps and maybe a fanny shake with pointed fingers at the audience.

Pleas remind me when it will be on TV and if I have nothing better to do, I'll watch it.

Now all [Kimmie] needs is a prom date.

“Hopefully,” she said with a grin, “my date will be Brian Joubert.”
Wouldn't that totally rock if Brian read that and flew over for the dance?

One just has to cross their fingers that they'll actually get shown, then.

I take it we may see one of each, and maybe two from Cohen (or Meissner).

Very likely they will show this number and cut Johnny's other one. I want to see both.

One of the things I loved best about going to this was that we had the opportunity to see all of the US Nationals medalists of the senior level and several of the outstanding junior level skaters. As much as we would love to go to Nationals, it was across the country from us, and at a time when it would not be feasible to get away (I'm an elementary school teacher, and my district frowns upon people taking off for a few days at a time). We try to support figure skating shows/competitions that are a comfortable driving distance for us (and it helps that this event was on a weekend, a holiday weekend, no less). Having the chance to see so many top & up and coming US skaters will not be the case at our local COI show next Sunday (which we're still looking forward to). I was also glad that there wasn't any of that silly voting they did last year (that was more like a popularity contest).

Another little perk - our seats were in the section to the immediate left of the broadcast booth. I couldn't believe that we were so close to Uncle Dick, Peggy, and Terry. During the Zamboni break, I said "Hi," to Terry, and asked if it was OK to take a picture of him. He was very kind about it, and said "yes." I figured that would be a good time to ask him, since he wasn't involved in a conversation with anyone else at the time. ;)

I agree Gail ... it was a great show, and very good to see you again! :)

I thought the number with Dennis/Melissa and Johnny was spectacular! Exactly the sort of thing they ought to do more of ... mix things up a little!

And I LOVED seeing the juniors! Finally the usfsa got it right ... start introducing them to the TV audience NOW!
I especially like Brubaker/Mclaughlin ... lots of potential, IMO ... and the ladies are out of this world! Ashley is ready to compete with the seniors right now, while the other two need just a bit more time before they take the skating world by storm!

I'm very happy I got to see this live ... who knows what ABC will cut out in it's coverage.

I don't remember where everyone skated, but Emily got things started off I think.
They went through all the seniors and their numbers and then the juniors. Caroline Zhang ended the first half.

I believe Kimmie ended the 2nd half ... no second number for the juniors.

Sorry ... maybe someone else wrote down the entire skate order.
