I'm honestly still in shock right now over Roman's victory :medal" (which is why it took this long for me to write a reply). I had sent him a Christmas card (although I'm not sure if Skate Canada has forward it to him, but Matthew Markell did let me know that he got my X-mas card) expressing my wish that he'll become the next Canadian champion, and I can't believe it came true!!! :hap93: I sincerely hope I'll get to see him compete in Montreal! My nickname for him has been "Princeling," but now he has earned the title of "Roman Emperor of Canada."

I don't know if it was yours, but I remember a while ago Roman posted a story on instagram of a Christmasy envelope addressed to Skate Canada, thanking the fan who sent it to him, so it looks like Skate Canada makes sure skaters get any gifts fans send.

Joseph Phan didn't receive my X-mas card even though I had sent them out at the same time (but that could be Canada Post's fault, not Skate Canada's).

That video was really well put-together. I really like the shot of a very young skater falling on shoot-the-duck followed by a shot of Roman falling on a quad.

I think Roman has a real future in film/video production. He just needs to win more figure skating medals (a lot more!) before he goes into it full time!

I think Roman has a real future in film/video production. He just needs to win more figure skating medals (a lot more!) before he goes into it full time!

He did say in an older vlog that he would like to be a choreographer after he retires from competition (how Jeffrey Buttle-like of him! ), but he can of course do film/video production as well. He's multi-talented, so why limit himself to just one field?
