Seems like the closing of schools will include sport schools 😓

In addition, schoolchildren in Moscow from October 5 to 18 will go on vacation for two weeks: vacations are introduced for students of educational institutions, the powers and functions of the founder of which are carried out by the executive authorities of the capital. These are institutions providing primary, basic and secondary general education, additional education, as well as sports training. Sergei Sobyanin clarified in his blog that the kindergartens will work as usual.

Members of the Russian National Team are allowed to train and compete during that time

So I'm assuming they are going to adjust the dates of stage 2 of the Russian cup considering only the national team is allowed to train.

actually i dont think the will, or they would have done it already from what i read in plushenkos interwiew, the information was already out that schools will close on the 5th. and they still began selling the tickets. not that it would be bad for the members of the national team, because it would basically give them 2 weeks more training over the other skater ( so basically for the 2stage sasha and zhenya could continue to skate , but kamila could not? or could she also train?)

Well Valieva is on the junior national team so I think she could train.

I have many but in the Russian ladies thread I will just mention my two favorite senior Russian ladies. Neither is my favorite "skater" but personality wise I find them charming.

Sasha Trusova is honestly a tiny feminist icon. She doesn't seem overly concerned about appearing overtly feminine. She wants to compete with the boys. She brings her aborable dog with her everywhere. She is confident. She is driven, and reminds me of a tiny superhero. I would like to have a daughter like her.

Medvedeva. She obviously loves skating. She is incredibly brave. Despite terrible things that some people have posted, she stays above the fights. She is always learning new things. New languages, new artistic forms. She is such a complicated and driven girl. I think everyone would like to be her friend.
(y) For this post.
I would like to add, I want Trusova's abs.
And Evgenia is my favorite, but I want to add.. I like how she claps when someone lands a jump and how in the kiss n cry she gets her fans to quiet down for the next skater on the ice.

I saw the Russian tests skates and was really impressed that there was so much freedom given to the skaters, coaches and spectators. A manifest sense of freedom even for a moment in such a public event was marvelous.. For at least a few minutes, I felt a soothing sense of natural normalcy and release from fear mongering so dominant in so many other places in public life, at least from what I have seen on video, but my views towards the offical narrative have been really critical for a long time. Anna's performance impressed me the most since she held her spirals and graceful and flexible movements out longer with more beautiful lines than last season since she has grown. Her skating edges and smoothness also seemed more impressive. She delivered an artistically resonant performance in my opinion and despite the opening mistakes she at least kept most her jumps during her growth spurt. After Anna, I was surprised to find I liked Sasha's performance second best. She seemed a little more graceful and smooth than last season with some good speed and more maturity after also having a growth spurt and she connected her movements with her impressive jumps better than last season in my opinion.

New member of TeamTut, tiny Emelie Chesterton, won the Sambo-70 50th jubilee competition in her group with 44 points:

Chesterton is not typically a Russian name. Is she Russian, or from elsewhere? Not that it matters, but it'd be interesting to me if Sambo was training international talents at a developmental level given what I'd presume to be a very high demand for their rink time by Russians.

definitely not :)

No idea (but judging by the name, either one or both of her parents are not Russian; or they are huge fans of two particular English writers to give her that name 😄 ); she's 7 years old, and used to train at AoP earlier (till 2019, if I'm not mistaken)

They do, on a regular basis; and not only on developmental level - Lil'bet, Moris & Nika are examples of that.

That would be the first time someone from AoP went to Tut isn't it?

And I want Czech Republic to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup, our players are so hardworking

Croatia almost did it with half your population.

Because their clubs are entirely devoted to raising young talents and sell them immediately to the big clubs so they can play the big competitions.

Czech Republic should start doing the same if they want to see some result, but to me it seems the best talents aren't coming there anymore, national team is weak compared to years ago. As Lazio supporter i remember the glorious days of Pavel Nedved.

I want Eteri to stop monopolizing figure skating. It is unfair for so many hard-working coaches. If Evgheni interrupts this monopolization, congratulations!

International results are almost all deserved, but because of the status it is true that RusFed is overscoring this team way more than what they deserve domestically. (see Maiia Khromykh complete bomb and yet still medal pretending it was all good)

It's what i complained for years about CSKA, when they were always getting the marks no matter what, and i thought with Sambo70 showing better results, Rusfed would have realized that you need a fair competition to keep a competitive environment, or other coaches would have lost interest and move to other categories like Men. I don't think much has changed since those days, and yes coaches are moving to Men, especially in Saint Peter.
