Who says there's no fun at Khrustalny
Are we honest. We already knew beforehand that Alina now only trains in Khrustalny for fun.

De rien, as the French say.You also provide fun to us, after all![]()
Well, unlike many others Alina can afford training for funAre we honest. We already knew beforehand that Alina now only trains in Khrustalny for fun.![]()
Frankly speaking, no matter whom they'll send, Russians win anyway. Which makes the choice purely political and I am very keen to see who'll receive the spot. Kamila and Sasha seems to be a reasonable choice for now.The next few competitions are going to be interesting, but not cause too many issues for Sasha.
The Olympic team contenders realistically are Sasha, Alena, Anna , Kamila. Sasha just needs to stay ahead of one consistently throughout the season, which is certainly doable.
It was the 3As. Now it's 3A and a K.
I agree with you, but anything is possible (given Rika kihira recent vids, and Wakaba with 3A in Japan open and potential for 4x).Frankly speaking, no matter whom they'll send, Russians win anyway. This should be undisputed anyway.Well, unlike many others Alina can afford training for funothers still have to earn a single world/Olympic medal, not even talking about a gold one.
The equivalent is Yagudin Vs Plushenko.I kind of wish this were "2020-21 British Ladies Figure Skating" so I could start making jokes about the two sides involved as Wars of the Roses. Any equivalent in Russian history? Not as familiar.
The parallels with Wars of the Roses are present! Just have TAT representing Plantagenets, CSKA representing Lancaster, Eteri as York, and... I guess Plushy represents Tudors hahaThe equivalent is Yagudin Vs Plushenko.
You're a little confused since this is the rule:No, it was about interpretation of rules. If you want to talk about forward take off, we can, but the post you responded to was about interpretation of rules.
You're free to disagree with any visual description I provide, but yes, a toe loop does tend to have a minimum of 90 degrees pivot. For this, the skaters tend to pick in more open to the direction of rotation.
Silveruskate, I'm not confused. Maybe you should go back to kolyadafan's post and have a look again about what he was saying? I know what toe axels are and what forward take offs are, as I respond to him right after it.You're a little confused since this is the rule:
"
A clear forward (backward for Axel type jump) take-off will be considered as a
downgraded jump. The toe loop is the most commonly cheated on take-off jump.
The TP may only watch the replay in regular speed to determine the cheat and
downgrade on the take off (more often in combinations or sequences).
"
If you're talking about the interpretation of this rule, then you're looking at when a jump should be classified as clear forward take-off.
Nowhere does it mention toe axel. A technical panel could inteperate this as "every single toeloop loop or salchow type jump should be automatically downgraded" to "no jump should be downgraded based off the takeoff".
God. You tagged a post about something different entirely. If you want to discuss forward take offs, you can discuss? Why would you try to tell me if I'm confused or not? This is exactly what I've been talking about throughout.
This should be undisputed anyway.
If I had Vlad Karigov's logic, I would of course answer this differently. Probably something like this: Zagitova will have to be grateful for a lifetime that she was spared a pandemic like the one that hit the 3A.![]()

I would like to see Sasha or any other matured skaters on the first place . Don't get me wrong I love Kamila's everything: jumps, spins, legs...but that would be great for the sport. That meens the elder girls can save their jumps in senior age, too because I'm sure the next female OG champion will have quad.Frankly speaking, no matter whom they'll send, Russians win anyway. Which makes the choice purely political and I am very keen to see who'll receive the spot. Kamila and Sasha seems to be a reasonable choice for now.
I actually was speaking about that, since I was disputing the idea from his comment that the rule is so ambiguous without mention of toe-axel that it means every jump is or isn't a downgrade. Also, I didn't even reply to you initially or refer to your conversation with kolyadafan, so you shouldn't be looking at my comment under the prism of your conversation with him. It would be great if you don't try to police my comments and their relevancy, as a courtesy. Tried to send in this on private message but you don't accept them.Silveruskate, I'm not confused. Here's the relevant bit:

That's very true. Although my biggest wish is to see a champion with correct technique and beautiful skating skills without inflated score. Not gonna happen, I am afraid...I would like to see Sasha or any other matured skaters on the first place . I didn't try to police your comments or their relevancy, sorry. Since we got into the conversation at all, I was trying to make my side clear, hence why I kept saying "you can discuss forward take offs if you want".It would be great if you don't try to police my comments and their relevancy, as a courtesy.
... I wasn't looking at the comment from the prism of my conversation with him. Literally what he said was that the tech panel can interpret "forward take offs" as "pre rotation as found in regular toe loops and salchows". He said it's literally not applied because of this ambiguity. This is the distinction he made that I don't think you got. That there is a problem of ambiguous language, that you can dispute, but exists nonetheless, and so the TP tends to ignore it altogether. And yes, this does happen. GS did an interview that I'll have to find (eta: https://www.goldenskate.com/2019/03/mona-adolfsen-on-being-an-isu-judge-and-the-new-scoring-system/)Also, I didn't even reply to you initially or refer to your conversation with kolyadafan, so you shouldn't be looking at my comment under the prism of your conversation with him.
I'm very happy that I don't.Tried to send in this on private message but you don't accept them.![]()
