Sasha Trusova really needs to handle her nerves. I just want to see a clean free-skate from her. Haven't seen that in so long....

I think ladies are getting bonus points for any type of a quad and 3A with a positive GOE, as well for the level 4 spins and steps(?) with at least +4GOE (for example Akatieva got bonus for her 3A). Men are getting B(onus point) just for 4Lz, 4F and 4Lo, cause only those three type of jumps are considered as ultra-c elements in theirs category. So, if Sasha cleanly land multiple quads (and 3A) she will get close to Kamila regarding bonusesOK. Predictions for the weekend:
1. Valieva (she will probably get 6 bonus points for her spins which Trusova can't catch, she needs to be superclean though)

I have to agree with the previous poster that it might have been wise to cancel this bonus system. I understand that it is done for development purposes, but it doesn't really make sense in light of the situation this year. Anyway, I hope some of the less well known skaters are able to have a great skate this weekend. It would be nice to see some new faces at nationals. Is Osokina going to be competing in this weekend? I really look forward to seeing her skate, again.I think ladies are getting bonus points for any type of a quad and 3A with a positive GOE, as well for the level 4 spins and steps(?) with at least +4GOE (for example Akatieva got bonus for her 3A). You did not mark Valeria Shulskaya. She was good in the past CR. It's interesting to see if she's making progress.OK. Predictions for the weekend:
1. Valieva (she will probably get 6 bonus points for her spins which Trusova can't catch, she needs to be superclean though)
2. Trusova (it will probably be very close, if she lands ALL her quads she wins)
3. Usacheva
4. Frolova
5. Konstantinova (I am really excited to see her again!)
6. Talalaykina (I would LOVE it if she ends up higher, but realistically...well, go Maria!)
7. Sidorova (has she improved from last year? maybe she can be an upset?)
8. Onishchenko
9. Sarnovskaya
Did I miss anyone?
My dream podium would be Valieva, Trusova and Talalaykina, but that won't happen...
I can't find final list of Junior Ladies participants, probably because their competitions starting later and training groups are not formed yet. For now, i can see only what training groups are for tomorrow and that includes Sr Dance, Sr men, Sr Ladies, Sr Pairs and Jr Pairs. The senior ladies participants BTW are: Zabora (spelling?), Kareva (?), Onishchenko, Sidorova, Talalaikina (they are in the first group), Valieva, Konstantinova, Trusova, Frolova, Shulskaya (2nd group).I have to agree with the previous poster that it might have been wise to cancel this bonus system. For a moment, I read “Slutskaya“ and thought we were in for a VERY interesting comeback story.Sluskaya (2nd group).

Yeah, i'm not very good with translating the names and the spellingFor a moment, I read “Slutskaya“ and thought we were in for a VERY interesting comeback story.
As for the podium this week.. I‘m predicting Valieva, Trusova and Usacheva - in that order. Frolova has a chance, too, although Usacheva will have to make mistakes. I‘m hoping for Talalaikina to at least get near the podium, too - her FS is too great not to see it at Nationals again. I‘ve wanted someone to skate to Maleficent for ages. I think it could be a good idea for someone like Kostornaia, too. Or maybe Shcherbakova.
But I corrected it. Also, Usacheva is not competing in the seniors yet, she is not on the revised Sr training groups list

I tried to discuss this weekend's girls with a prediction, but no. I guess no one here is interested in the actual skating anymore...![]()
Yes, there are some indications, like technical content and experience, that should point at Sasha as the one who should win, but then there are many other aspects like the current form, nerves etc., which all can mix the bag and that can be hardly predicted. At the end, in this moment it maybe isn't even as important what the final placements will be among the first three or four who are most probable to place there, but the progress throughout the season.Same. Even if I try to imagine the who and why of placements, I end up having a back and forth argument with myself about why it's incorrect or something![]()
1. Yes.A lot is at stake for Trusova this coming weekend.
Biggest questions will be
1. Will a junior beat her in PCS if everyone skates clean?
2. Will they give her bonus points for her spins?
Valieva is not some 'junior skater'.Even if she wins here but looses to a junior skater in PCS is a big hit to Trusova reputation wise.
Hm, i wonder why do you all think Usacheva will compete here? She is not on the practice group list revised today which is scheduled to happen tomorrow morning. I thought skaters who will compete must attend those practices prior the competition. Or it can be skipped in this occasion? Or maybe she will compete in junior's category (which practice groups are not published yet).My podium prediction:
1. Valieva
2. Trusova
3. Usacheva
4. Frolova
5. Konstantinova
You are comparing different tournaments and of course the fact that Kamila had a clean skate, while Sasha had an absolute disaster at RusNats.1. Yes.
Valieva's PCS at JRusNats 34,86+71,32
Trusova's PCS at RusNats 34,83+69,14
Never say no. Sasha has +4 spins even in international competitions, domestic competitions are usually have inflation in scores. Perhaps the judges will not be so strict? http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1819/jgpltu2018/jgpltu2018_JuniorLadies_SP_Scores.pdf2. No, Trusova's spins are not good enough to get bonus points.
