Serious question, how do nicknames work in Russia like can you ask someone not to use yours? Like I heard Tarasova refer to one of the dancers Evgeni as Zhenya. Can he tell her "That nickname is for my friends and not the likes of you."

it's true, anything can happen in figure skating, even a rough team like Kartashova/Karpov can medal...it's just a matter of luck

In the replay it looks like Vika is almost crying from pain during the lift..... beautiful lady you did not need to skate today! Go to the doctor, and then go get some rest!
With so many pairs and ice dancers out with injury (or COVID) , is the Russian federation going to make exceptions for participation in nationals? If they don't, I think a lot of their most talented teams may not be present....
