I didn't mention boys at all yesterday, but I have to say Nikolai Koleshnikov truly is an amazing talent, quite unique in Russian men's skating. Quads at 11, yet his strongest aspect still is PCS, especially interpretation.

No. But she tried a quad. Risk takers have increased scores -either through PCS (program itself) or in this case, on the other elements. I don't know whether this is a conscious thing, or unconscious on the part of the judges, I just know it is.

No, she just is a CSKA skater. Well known phenomenon in the Russian circles.


As for the current competition, final group... I'd say Lelekov's the clear favorite but won't pretend I follow male skating all that much.

I find the name Dobromir (Voronov) interesting. Mir in Russian means either world or peace. Dobro is from dobriy clearly which means good or kind.
