Final Cup of Russia

I think the problems on the 4Ts were mostly because she got rattled by the first mistake, but the 4S pretty much seemed like the troubles she is having with her 3Lz lately - during the toe picks she is sliding awkardly and losing height, hence there is no air time to make the full revolutions.
She literally JUST learned the 4S.

Can someone translate what Aliona is saying please??
She lost her habit for competitions, both the mood and the form (over the break due to illness and injuries). Some things didn’t work out, but that happens. Then she tells how much she was sick this year, COVID before new year, then two more weeks with pneumonia. It was good for her to even compete. It was a hard year so she even thought it was the end, but now she is in a more positive mood.

I was about to crown Kamila as the next olympic champion, but I´ll wait, a lot can happen and nobody is flawless.

But her 3A rippon though, is so good and consistent now. Maybe the best I have ever seen? Who else have ever scored so high on a 3A?
That’s what great about sports. Nothing is awarded on paper. Gotta go out and earn it, it’s not handed to you.

3 quads and a 3A are too much.

4S, 4T, 3A, 3lo // 3Lz-3T, 3Lz-3S, 3F-2T with 75+ pcs should be enough against anyone.

Edit: Actually: 4S, 4T, 3A, 3F // 3Lz-3T, 3Lz-3S, 3F-2T

Scoring that high on a 3A is pretty difficult, wasn't her GOE on it like 3.84 when 4.00 is max?

I mean right now Kamila doesn't need that full skate - 3A in SP; 3A, 4S, 4T-eu-3S, backloaded 4T in FS. Like Sasha at full strength is the only one that could match that and she would need 5 quads to do so - which she's also never been clean at.

If it was an actual meaningful competiton Kamila wouldn't have attempted that. It was kinda just for fun. Didn't work but she still won the competition. And other than Aliona no one has been clean the first time they've attempted an upgrade with ultra-c elements.

I think Eteri is the winner, she is happy no matter what, cos even if one of her skaters make mistakes, the other will still come through. Her skaters won pretty much every major competitions since Med took the 2015 GPF and world title, only losing the GPF in 2018, and Euro 2019. Her junior skaters won most major competitions too since Sasha and Alina back in 2017-2018 season.

Edited sorry got the years wrong

I am so happy for Liza. Although she is 10 years older than Daria or Maia, she is still competitive and still fighting to improve both her technical and artistic skills. Before her retirement, I'd like to see her at the worlds one more time. I hope that rusfed choose her for this time since she is really deserving to go worlds.
