Congrats to Kevin for the silver here! It's his first medal in the Grand Prix series since winning silver back in the 2003 Trophee Lalique. He's waited a LONG time for this!

I know this is off topic - but do we know what Lambiel is skating to this season? Clean Lambiel, Takahashi and Joubert - (all including Lamibel with at least one triple axel) me gives it to Lambiel -- but, I'm flexible.

Well I love Takahashi a whole lot - I keep screeming that he has the best use of arms and hands of all of the men (with maybe one exception, my bias, I won't bug you with it) - and I just love his rythm (sp?) and flow --- like I said, I'm flexible (actually, I just love so many of these skaters!!!!).
But, I will just add that Joubert was simply not a headcase last year - and that's what troubles me about today; I hope this was his 'off day' for the season and he gets that control and focus back, it was an impressive improvement last year for him. And, Takahashi is reigning world silver medalist, no? So, he's proven himself.
Lambiel is rarely clean, Joubert is headcase and could go either way, Takahashi has not proven much yet but I would put my bet on Dai. Just because I am biased![]()
Stephane Lambiel's program info for 2007/2008
Short program :
"Carne Cruda" by the ensamble Nuevo Tango
Long program :
"Poeta" by Vicente Amigo - choreographed by Antonio Najarro
Exhibition program :
"Un giorno per noi" by Josh Groban
I don't think it's wise to underestimate Lambiel at all. He has been attempting 2 quads in his LPs since the 2004 season and his quad is one of the best in the business. Only Joubert has been more successful with his quad attempts. Lambiel is an artist and an athlete. His question mark is consistency, but if he puts it all together, there's no question in my mind that he is the best in the world!
2004 Worlds LP: 2 clean quads
2005 Worlds LP: 2 clean quads
2006 Worlds LP: 2 clean quads
2007 Worlds LP: 1 clean quad, 1 quad fall out with a hand down
Yes, Poeta is the flamenco program from last season. He only used it in competition internationally that one time at the 2007 Worlds.![]()

this makes me very happy.
He looked like he just strolled in off the street and decided to go for a skate. No bangles, bobbles, and beads for this boy!
