Nah you're right, I just looked it up. Apparently some Russians named Vladimir call themselves Walter in English because it sounds similar, but unrelated. Vladimir has no English equivalent.

There are Germanic Waldemar/Woldemar and the derivatives.

Hello fellow skating lovers! Aas usual, I'm way behind ... but I just watched a junior pair named Alina and Artem (last names? I'm bumfuzzled.) They are going to be some of my favorites if they can last.

They skated to John Travolta, and they danced! And he looks like Travolta! Can anyone help me with their last names and tell me more?

That's interesting. I thought it was the same as well performing Juniors sometimes turn up in Senior events throughout the season, or does that not apply to ice dance? Wow, learned something new. That's how much I pay attention to the rules...

they have to adapt their program to the senior rythm, just like when junior singles add the missing elements to their programs when they switch to senior. i. e. Kazakova/Reviya had to do it when they did Euros
