Ok guys here is the Jason Brown Dropbox folder!!! Clicking this link should take you to the folder - there's currently only four videos in there but I will try and add more as I can. Currently there's WTT 2021 Gala, Worlds 21 SP, US Nats 21 SP and US Nats 2020 FS. Let me know if this is not working for anyone and I'll see what I can do!
Maybe try a VPN and the ISU youtube channel? I use hola VPN albeit probably not the most safest of choices, but I haven't had an issue so far. Thanks for the dropbox. That's great! Hoping to find a video of the entire gala. From comments of people not held hostage to NBC, it was an excellent Gala.
Ro did choreograph Melancholy. It was done at roughly the same time as Sinnerman. Jason wanted to do Melancholy as his short. But Ro kept on him to show Sinnerman to Tracy and Brian. Jason finally did and they urged him to use that for his short. That was Ro's view also. So Melancholy became his exhibition program. It's beautiful, and does show off Jason's skills extremely well.OH wow - thank you so much fzzt.....totally appreciate you doing this for us. I love Melancholy. It's a perfect exhibition piece and much more indicative of his uber talent than some of the funny or hip hop pieces hes done. Did Rohene choregraph this piece? I think it really, really shows just how wonderful Jason's skating is. Coaching. I wonder if that's anything that's crossed his mind. And I wonder if the Cricket Club would keep him on as a coach when he retires.
I want to see the entire gala too.Joining the chorus of Thank Yous, lovely to hear Chris and to see the gala
Putting my iCloud Drive to good use.![]()
Unless Chris was given the exact same script to read.... that's Simon commenting the gala. (did that make a difference?Joining the chorus of Thank Yous, lovely to hear Chris and to see the gala![]()
I was in a dream state from the beauty of MelancholyUnless Chris was given the exact same script to read.... that's Simon commenting the gala. (did that make a difference?)

I’m with you! There are so many unique moves and transitions and it was the ONLY men’s program in WTT that earned a 4 for step sequence.Popping in to confess that Jason has usurped Jeffrey Buttle's position in my heart... I always liked him, but it feels like he really matured artistically and technically over the last few years in TCC.
Am I in the minority that really likes Slaughter on 10th Avenue? Granted, Schindler's List is definitely a stronger vehicle for the Olympic year. I'm just drawn to Slaughter's unpredictability and tight musicality - it really stands out compared to most other mens' programmes which tend to be lyrical. Then again I also liked Simon and Garfunkel, which is another less popular programme.
You may be, but I'm there with you. I think it is very intricate and it took Jason a minute to really grow into it, but I like it. Of course, I like the piece it is an homage to, also. And the knee slide into the last spin....extraordinary!Am I in the minority that really likes Slaughter on 10th Avenue? Agreed. I like Slaughter too. SL is a better fit, but Slaughter shows another element of musicality. Jason has so much performance in him. I hope in the future he can perform in shows with programs choreographed by Rohene. The quads are holding back other skaters too. There should be a limit. The points are too high for quad jumps and too low for spins and choreography. You can see how some skaters can’t even do the rockers and counters (turns) properly.Popping in to confess that Jason has usurped Jeffrey Buttle's position in my heart... Jason uses his old costume designer for SP‘s and exhibitions. The S&G was not a good costume. I liked SL and Slaughter costumes. Some of the men do not wear a costume at all. A button down shirt with a couple stones does not make a costume. It should reference the program and music. The simplicity of his recent costumes definitely show his body lines beautifully.I really like Slaughter. But as I think I said upthread (can't remember what I had for breakfast.....) I think SL evokes a strong emotional reaction because the music and the story behind it is so dramatic and heart-wrenching. Jason's interpretation of it is the best ever and very respectful (yes, Julia's was good with the red dress, etc......) but I think his real personality comes out with Slaughter. He can really get into it. I think one of the other improvements since Jason went to Toronto is his choice of costumes. He doesn't need the glitz and sequins - his skating speaks for itself. I find that the over-the-top costuming just detracts. I don't like the sequins and the chiffon and the draping and the dangly stuff. The black pants and black or purplish top are quite sufficient.
We never got to see the final SL 2020 World’s Championship changes. I’m sure David will be working on updating the program and adding more difficulty. So I just watched Jason's Shindler's List performance from nationals last year. It was absolutely mesmerizing, but I found myself struck by how (relatively) simple I thought the choreography was. Obviously he expresses it magnificently, but after seeing his Sinnerman and Slaughter this year, I think David could go further with that piece and showcase Jason's incredible skill even more. Maybe I'm about to get hammered here, but in some ways I think he has grown past that piece in a year, and if they do keep it for the Olys, I would love to see them up the ante with it even more.
Very good point! I had forgotten that they were making adjustments for Worlds last year and that we didn't ever see them.We never got to see the final SL 2020 World’s Championship changes. I’m sure David will be working on updating the program and adding more difficulty.
