I have one question, Jason fans. For the first jump, is he marking an edge jump rather than a toe jump - ie a 4S rather than 3F?

They always jump too fast for me to figure that out, but the prep looks like he's going to try to include the 4S. I think we can conclude that he plans a quad in that spot, but the specific quad may change as the season moves forward.Thank you!

I watched it again. It looks like an edge jump. There was no toe assist. I watched several times to be sure. The entrance is very simple, which helps. I wish I was better at identifying jumps, though. I'm really terrible.

I am so out of it, I didn't understand why the Team Cricket IG isolated that marked jump and commented "marked the salchow" with the

Ohhhh I don’t know how I feel about a quad attempt in the SP 
We all know he can score highly in the short without it, but the risk of being absolutely BURIED if he fails is so high... Also, Sinnerman is so incredible, I feel like a fall could really impact the performance of it. Obviously I want Jason to do what makes him feel best, and maybe he feels more confident about it if he’s willing to put in the SP or has decided to just go all guns blazing for the Olympics season, but man, this makes me anxious!!

Well, you know what Jason says: if I could do it, I would! So...maybe he can do it. I will say that when he marked it, it flowed really smoothly, no different than the other jumps he marked.Ohhhh I don’t know how I feel about a quad attempt in the SP
I do find it really interesting to see him working with Rohene.
@kan01, sorry I’m not sure whether TCC is open right now. I think for Jason the issue is when he’ll be able to cross the border.

I had to watch it a few times with particular attention to the launching foot. I agree that it looks like the entry to the 4S. And that makes sense. He's going to need a minimum of one clean quad per program next season.I just did a double take bc it’s pretty fast but it looks like he takes off from a back inside edge (ie its it’s a sal) and that’s definitely his 4S entry, not the steps he did last season into the flip.
