When I see skating to a program like this, it gives me a clue as to how non-English speakers feel when they listen to the stuff that some of our athletes skate to.

Well... reports of their demise were greatly exaggerated.

There was never any credible 'demise.' All these weird scenarios were just in fans' overthinking heads, because no announcements were being made about their 'personal' situation. It was enough to know that they were still training. Everything else was their business, and it will likely remain that way, which is a good thing.

If U.S. pairs teams were being properly valued, K/F and C/J would have broken 70 here, in their home country. You know that in Russia, the judges take care of their athletes. U.S. judges are afraid of being out of line, and U.S. fed knows zip about politicking effectively for their athletes. U.S. skaters always have to prove themselves, and prove again and again, or be a God like Nathan Chen. And even then, keep proving and proving...

He is Canadian by birth but he's competed at the Israeli nationals since the 2016-2017 season
