Zhulin said that senior girls are lucky they’re not competing against her, cause she would drink their blood. :laugh2:
Sonia is very special but but let's see how much she grows in the next year or so. She could be a challenger for KV in 2 years. But I suppose some of you thinks she already is. ;)

Akatieva said she wants to learn 4F.
Never mentioned it's ready right now. Still could be.

Seems to me one condition Trusova was released from AP with relatively minor issues was her promise not to try 4Lo before it's landed by anyone else.
The quad madness continues.
To be seen.

I think all of my favorite junior women this season failed to either win an event or get a second entry. I remember there were several Russians in the mix that may have placed 3rd or 4th, or had a few mistakes, but performed well to the music and kept me engaged the whole 3 1/2 minutes. I'm sad I may not see them at the final.

Shcherbakova watch out. Akatieva is going for the 2022 Russian Nationals title.
Will they hold her back in an Olympic year when it would look bad if she beat 3A plus Maya KV and Dasha? If the judging is fair and that's a big if with the Russians she has a good chance to take the gold. SA is more likely to land her programs than any of the others in my opinion.

I wonder if Sofia on the podium would actually helpful to the Fed, meaning they could basically choose whoever they want to be the 3rd team member from among the girls that didnt place, and not be locked into whoever is on that one podium.

On the other hand, would it be good marketing for the Russian Fed to say “yeah we have a six deep Olympic team that could sweep the podium and they aren’t even our best” ?

Though I find it unlikely Sofia would win. She’s a great skater but you can’t compare her programs to the refinement of the current seniors, at least IMO. She’ll grow into it and will get there as we saw the current seniors do I’m sure, but I don’t think she’s at that level yet. The reason we saw the junior successes of the 3A was because they had greater technical content than the seniors, but they’re all pretty on par with one another now.

Funny. When such discussions were going on about the Tutberidze group, everything was fine. A huge number of posters on various forums (including this one) an infinite number of times searched for abusing in the Tutberidze group (how did Kira Korpi write? now I will Google " The Tutberidze Factory is a sign of the inhuman culture that our sport accepts. ", oh yes, old Kira Korpi burns)

I understand that she finally got her B.A. degree (she admitted that her activity was part of her writing a thesis) and after that she might have lost interest in the topic.

Sadly she hasn't. Kiira did this autobiography thing in 2018 (Finnish) and it's revised version will be released in English during the Olympics. And it's meant to be "a conversation starter".

So you're gonna hear a lot more from her
