Just saw the NBCSN TES box... what? Why do we care about the maximum possible score per element? Is it just to make it easier for non-fs fans to watch? It's very jarring and distracting

So, L/O were lowballed on the final lift, which should have garnered more points. But they were less than spectacular on the through and the sbs jumps. That won't cut it. The impression made the judges lower their subsequent scores. Plus, skating early and being a new team.

Why "lowballed"? That's a rather vulgar term for a wholesome (if sedated) American pairs team.
