2021 Skate America: Pairs Short Program

And look at the lesser known Russian pair cleaning up early, even with a mistake, which apparently shocked the judges. Yes, they have quality, but they are untested and fairly new on the senior scene. Stop with giving them everything, while lowballing American teams. Yes, L/O should have brought it, but the exquisite quality of many of L/O's elements were not rated as highly as they should have been. L/O have more personality than this young Russian team, and their program was much more interesting and entertaining.

Too many things to keep an eye on right now, skating, Red Sox, and the home opener at the Alfond for my Black Bears.

I don't know them at all ( pairs knowledge is woefully insufficient), but the Russian team brought the elegance.

The twisst and the SBS jumpps from Trennt and partner were not clean, but the lifft was gorgeous.

Agreed. I think all Russians receive a 5 point bonus. Americans are at an immediate disadvantage.
