For me Anna program should be a mix of gold and green color, it would be awesome and would suit the SP program better

I think a deep green or purple would be beautiful for Anna's SP, but this style is not it, she's not portraying a Cleopatra/queen. A flowy robe style, would fit the element bending theme better. I think the cut of her current dress is fine, it's the colours that don't work.

Because you can only repeat two jumps (quads or triples). She had already repeated 4T and 3T, hence she could not repeat 3Lz and her second 3Lz was invalidated.

Maiia didnt win but she landed 2 quads which is even better. People degrading on Maiia last season didnt realise she was just saving her quads for the season that mattered
I hope to the skating gods that Team Tut are not neglecting her and leaving her all season with that god awful amateur dress. Packaging is key and that dress is detracting from it.
I dont think the tango is a bad program. Or maybe because I know Daniil G could have given her a lot worse so the standards are extremely low. But once she warms up to it like she has to her SP, think it will come alive.

I thought Anna would have done well scoring over 145+. She didn't look at all comfortable in the SP. A very nice surprise to see her break her own FS record.

What drama rom the Russian press? Because Maya was in second and Anya third after the SP? If they allowed quads one of them would have been in first.

No need for media drama. Russia probably gets 5 spots in the GPF. Maybe all 6 which would be historic. There will be alot of them hitting their strides by GPF.

Never doubted her. She looked calm at test skates, like everything’s going according to plan. Her triples looked very good, so I knew it will be fine.
Anna always focuses on her own path and does things at her own pace. Her being able not to look at others and keep going is what helps her to stay at the top.

Anna had higher BV with 1 quad than Maiia with 2, and better execution. Maiia also had a debut here, was a bit nervous I think, so understandably she didn’t get higher PCS.
But 2 clean landed quads is another step forward for her. She wasn’t landing it well in practice, but landed both in her program. Her mental game improved a lot!
She has time before Rostelecom to clean everything up.

The drama was less about the order of the Russians and more about the fact the Hendrickx beat both of them.

Yeah, russian media is always ready to “support” these girls, whenever they make a mistake. Anna landed several Lz-Los in the warm up, so clearly it was a fluke mistake. Rus media went all dramatic as if Anna isn’t capable of doing 3-3 anymore.

I guess it makes sense but what must Maya be thinking after being ahead of Anya after the SP and then landing one more quad?

The good news from Maya is she is on the rise.
