Wow I was expecting the ankle, cause I think the injury happened on the take off, not the landing. The way she was limping reminded me of Mae-Berenice at Worlds.... but I suppose she could have hurt the hip on the pick-in.

Devastating news for Daria. I hope someone will take care of her not only physically but also mentally, becasue grave injuries like that take a toll on mind as well. And I really, realy hope it's not because of training method....

What I find the most sad with all those withdraw from NHK in women is that Sofia Samodurova would have deserve a second spot since she is healthy and ready to compete.
why Samodurova deserved it more than Kiibus for example?

Because I like Samodurova Mulan program this year ! But Kiibus could have also earn a spot since there is 3 withdraw in this competition. Sad for all these girl Who could have earn these spot instead of those withdraw.

Well Samodurova couldn't place top 5 in 1 of the easier GP fields. And the withdrawals could not be anticipated, when the names were put forth certainly the Russian Fed didn't anticipate that Trusova would injure her foot at/around the time of Skate America and that Usacheva would awkwardly fall in the SP warm-up for NHK and injure herself - both of those skaters outperformed Samodurova all last season so it made sense that they be given 2 GP spots

The Daria injury is too soon but why isn't it possible to reallocate places? Rika and Sasha's could be. Sad that now it's only 9 athletes.

Averbukh also commented it was obvious Daria was going with injury so this corresponds. But Eteri needs to stop her staff speaking, they do not fear her anymore. To blame Daria for this is dreadful. One side injured then it's overtraining by the athlete, other side not enough run-throughs and being humiliated in the press. Sorry but a 15 years old teen is not an adult, she’s still a child. It’s easy to blame the girls when the adults are the coaches and it’s their responsibility to take care of their athletes.
