IMO Andrei should win the free between the two of them. Not by much, but his performance overall was better. Misha should lead based on the SP score.

The random thought I always have about Samarin is that he would make someone a wonderful life partner. He just seems so grounded, humorous and kind. Very off topic here...

I mean he was basically saying all their programs except Kolyada's sucked during the break. He is being more honest than usual.

The judges will do everything they can do make that win. It might be hard but everyone wants that fabulous skater and amazing program at the Olympics.

He's also Russia's only real contender for the podium, I'm sure the fed wants him there too

...I think Misha should still be in first, but that FS score is far too high. Two quads and lots of small mistakes aren't worth 190.

Kolyada is just so close to greatness, but he can't quite touch it.

I still love this though. He deserves the highest components by a big margin.

He reminds me Tarasova/Morozov in that.
