What a messy skate Makar! It looked like he lost his stamina after 30 seconds. I think nerves got to him...

At this point I'm convinced that Makar never does full run-throughs in training, his stamina is nonexistent.

I'm so glad Erokhov didn't use Never Enough for the whole program. I like The Greatest Showman but everyone always does that ballad and it's the one song that I just can't listen to.

The second half of his program was really fun! Love how he brought the audience in.

I thought everybody did "The Greatest Show"...

Much as I love that song, that's why I was relieved we had something different. We've had too many people in red coats skating to it.

Yes, he and Dmitri should really start running around Saint Petersburg daily to ooomp up that stamina.

The 10-year-old Russian girls have better stamina than he does (or at least they're far better at disguising their exhaustion)

Ah I am admittedly very new to men's. Women's is Never Enough everywhere. But I'll gladly take The Greatest Show any day

I remember seeing Mark skate at RusNats last year and thinking "this kid is going places". Well, with the way he's looking today, I'm thinking that again. He had a rough season earlier, but he's peaking at just the right time.

I can't tell if it's the jumps I don't find visually appealing or if it is because of that loose shirt.

That last combo was a mess, but he might be able to get on the podium again. He is going to town with this step and choreo sequence.
