For his sanity I recommend everyone not to go through another site... the visceral hatred that is thrown at the Tutberidze team has already surpassed criminal levels...

I left another site FigureSkating for this reason. It's just a collection of links from various places where somebody said something (does not matter what), ppl do not like it and 'let's blame Eteri'. She 'bought' everyone, etc.

Actually if ppl think that Eteri is that powerful (can buy international and local judges for her daughter, sport doctors, journalists, etc) - I would be very careful on commenting like this, who knows who she can buy. Finding a real user behind another site login name is not that hard, mafia (not Anna's cat) does not sleep.

Did Sofia M start late? Did anyone else? If there were other people who started late, did they get docked one point too?

Well the "proof" or "records" is just the video I guess? You can count the seconds from her name being called to when she gets into position. Over 30 is a point deduction, over 60 is a disqualification. Sofia took 35 seconds so that deduction call is technically correct, it's just the fact that it was revised after the competition that makes it "suspicious". (I didn't check every single woman but for comparison, just looking at the videos uploaded, Anna took 25, Kamila and Sofia S took 28, and Adelia took only 17 seconds to get in position.)

I don't know if anyone else had a late start deduction specifically, but there were time violation deductions given in the men's and ice dance events on the same day (for programs that were more than 4 minutes and 10 seconds long).

I dunno if she was actually late because I don't have the Fusar-Poli Stopwatch[TM]. But I have a feeling if it had happen to their top pick seniors, this deduction will not come up several hours later.

According to the official statement the deduction was already given at the astadium, but thanks to error in the system it didn't count.

So many drama for one point. I bet if she wasn’t in the top 3, they would never bring this matter and protest.

The thing why it gets talked about? Is that it was eteri and her team who lodged the complaint and inquiry y according to kogan if i saw that correctly. And if thats the case than that is petty. If they had not lodged the complaint and it would have happenend on its own that the panel corrected the score on their own i think that would be ok but but to do it like this is just petty in my eyes . especially because sofia cant even hurt annas placement on the olympic team. And yes i also would be calling plushenko or anyone else petty if it was the other way around

I doubt any controversy over the point deduction will matter to SM today. I think she will have an excellent free skate and possibly end up in the top five which would be a phenomenal senior National debut.

Kamila went out, in the biggest and most pressure filled skate of her career and with the greatest field ever seen, and beat everyone by over 35 points.

That‘s also what a statement looks and feels like.

Now the GOAT talk can certainly begin.

Congratulations to the new champion.

The former champion deserves a round of applause too. To be at the top of the mountain for 3 straight years is not a common occurrence. I don’t think its a secret that I hold her in high regard.

I'm not really a fan of Lizas but I really respect her, her perseverance, attitude, confidence and hard work over the years. It has to be really heartbreaking to know her Olympic dreams are likely over after 3 shots at it. Whatever she does going forward I wish her the best.

Of all the Russian girls, the skating of Shcherbakova is the most complete and beautiful to see, but that did not stop me from saying that today she did not deserve more than 150 points, giving her 158 was a total absurd and a contempt to the beautiful skating of Petrosyan. With 150 FS Shcherbakova must have placed 5th with 231.
