I assume and presume you mean Nathan. 
SA is very special but she has a lot of challenges now but of challenges now in her own country alone. My concern with her is that she doesn't take board out of her mind not skating a lot in competition and then being held back because of a proposed increase of the age limit. Let's hope if that happens that it's over a gradual period of time.

And I fear history will repeat itself. As she is second last (17th!!), she might feel forced to try her two 4Ts, and if she falls on those she would have gained nothing. All the girls in front of her will probably have clean 7 triple programs...

She has no chance to podium she has lost her confidence. Why not just have Nastya skate a beautiful free filled with triples?
Maybe try one 4t if she hits it in practice.

I don't follow juniors. I prefer discover them when they appear in their first senior competition which is usually Russian nationals. But today I have watched Sofia Akatieva skate for the first time. Just when I thought they hit the ceiling with Kamila and it really cannot be taken any further in terms of overall ability...
Let's not even talk about the ultra-c elements that she performs since that is the new standart. But my goodness, just her overall skating?! She is flying. And what are those skating skills and just the whole PCS package for her age?!

I am such an idiot! So I go on Youtube and type "Junior Russian Nationals". I get a video. All Russian writing but I start playing it, I see a bunch of juniors I recognize.
I see Sofia S do a single 3A and she doesn't get dinged for it. I think "Rusfed must have changed the rules and just let them jump like seniors"
I see Eteri, I think "Gee she got back from Euros super fast! Good for her that was speedy."
I see someone who looks suspiciously like Sasha with the red hair and all. I don't watch the clip as I am trying to search for Sofia A but I think to myself "Oh wow, there's a Junior who looks identical to Sasha. Must go back and watch later."
Now I did hear that poor Sofia M fell, so when I did find her clip and saw that she did a single 3A which she didn't fall on I got suspicious and checked the date of the video. Yup! It was RusNats Senior! I'm a twit!
I did find the right file eventually!!!
Wow the girls are all fabulous and super speedy! I am just so so so impressed. Honestly I could just full on watch the junior circuit! They are incredible! Love Veronika's program! It is soooo adorable! Wouldn't mind if she kept in since we hardly saw it this season. She looked so nervous but she fought it! A bit tight on the combo! I love her though! Speedy, flexible, great jumps, spirals. The works!
I think Sofia A is fabulous and has it all but she doesn't move me the say Sofia S does. Sofia S is my favourite. There is something about her that is very agreeable to my skating preferences! I love her SP music! It makes me want to fling myself around!

there's also something that makes both her and her coach look pretty stupid - in her interview after the SP: "Although, we have not yet understood why, in the end, the score is even lower than at the Russian Championship."

- her bv at the JRN is lower by 3.68 points compared to RusNats;
- at the same time, the TES at the JRN is lower only by 2.35 points;
- PCS at the JRN increased by 1.12 points.
So, by all indications, her SP at the JRN was scored noticeably better than at RusNats.

When some fans do not understand the "logic" of the scoring system, it is excusable to some level (till they do not start to make sofa experts of themselves). But it surprises me how often coaches and other influential people in the world of figure skating do not get the basic counting. 
(Sometimes I think to myself the magic of Eteri's success is that she simply did not miss math lessons in the school

Especially compared to Akatieva's. Fun music, interesting choreography, a unique personality. I stayed awake for the whole thing

Sofia S has it all. She shows some personality as well as great skating. A good free skate from her today will move her clearly to the number two position for the Russian girls.

By far the worst women's tournament I've seen since I've been following Russian figure skating...
Can someone explain why so much overscoring with Muravieva... it happened yesterday and today, today with a fall she has more PCS than Akatieva. Petrosyan alone gave away her place in the World Cup, but let the apprentice coach not even dream that in the World Championship they will continue the overcored to Muravieva.
