Want to be here for Karen Chen's rite of passage Butterfly lovers in Beijing, and Wakaba's long journey/finale to her Olympics, having missed out on the last Olympics team selection - even without her epic Skyfall Bond Program, but with a legit 3A. Hope they all feel extra inspired by their moment to shine and perform to their absolute best - regardless of everything. They have really worked hard and overcame a lot for this.
They are my sentimental favorites having been followed their career since the beginning but missed out the last couple of years due to my disagreement with the management of the sport. They are very likely to retire after this, I just don't see them continuing with the climate of the sport. Regardless of ISU judging results, I think many serious fans of fs are also capable of judging themselves. As long as the skaters are skating to their best, the respect and recognition will be earned beyond those arena walls into Olympic history.
Really mixed feelings on watching the Olympics ladies again... but alas here we go! Best of luck ladies...
