But what is obvious is that if 4 years ago one could speculate whether Osmond was competitive with Medvedeva/Zagitova, if 2 years ago one could speculate if Rika was competitive with 3A, now it's clear that there is the gap between top TT skaters and the rest "wider than Victoria lake" as Sade sang. So that I would not put doom and gloom on TT unless it is ruined by the investigation.

Yes, and we who have analyzed Sasha's scoring potential know that the 4th and 5th quad don't matter that much as she has to take out high level triples. The only way Sasha can win is if she is super clean with 5 quads, and she wasn't. That q on the last 4Lz cost her a LOT of points and that unnecessary 3T combo was the nail in the coffin for gold. Sasha knows by now, that when Anna is on she is ON, and she had no mistakes whatsoever. Sasha needs to learn that the scoring system will crucify you if you are not super clean.
She was speculating that her team was doping her (even without her knowing). Keeping the specualtions without evidence is = keeping the drama and fuss about her. It all ends the same - it raises the pressure onto Kamila.
Anna skated clean with two quads. Sasha didn't skate 5 clean quads. At least one was a step-out. Also, Anna deservedly received higher PCS, though both she and (especially) Trusova were overscored.

Yes, I really feel for Anna. She seems to have such a good heart, she can't celebrate when her team mates are upset. That moment at 2020 nationals was horrible. And history repeats itself.

My viewpoint is that no judging system would not let Sasha win should she land a 3A or 4T. No judging system would let Anna win should she botch one of her jumps. But we have Anna with 2 skates of her life vs. Sasha with a fall and stepout. Then we have 2 clean extra quads vs. much bigger artistry.
Well, as long as she does those quads with sketchy landings and an empty program, it isn´t enough. She hasn´t won a major competition so far for a reason.

I don't recall exactly Johnny's comment, but it was something like "finally" or "good".
