Huge congratulations to Zhenya/Vovan. What an incredible skate, they even received the highest technical score of all time! And just so close behind the chinese!

Anastasia/Sasha also great. Alexandra/Dima slightly bhind thanks to minir mistakes, but still in fourth place which means the final group will be the same tomorrow. And pretty thrilling!

are T/M retiring after olympics or do they plan to continue?

I know they are considered veteran now but they are still young 27/29 y.o. They can still push for 1 more quad especially now that they seem to finally be able to figure out themselves. There are good pairs in the pipeline but no one so far is as good or promising as T/M, M/G and B/K when they are coming to the scene. Panfilova/Rylov have that star quality like those 3 but it is a shame that they don't have the jump to be truly competitive.

B/K have to start searching for a new coach ASAP. 4th is fair but their marks were too low and to lose PCS to M/G (especially by that amount) is ridiculous. One thing not to have your federations support but your coaches should be on your side and it's clear they don't even have that

Sometimes competition within your coaching group is a good thing because it pushes you to be better but since M/G joined their group, B/K seems like became insecure and doubted themselves a lot.

But who should they even go to? Moser? Sliuserenko/Trankov?

I don’t think T/M will go for worlds. This was the competition to close their career. They did everything they could and M/G were still breathing down their necks.
Which really shows just how hard the Russian fed. politicked for M/G because getting that close to a cleanish T/M and S/H scorewise was a joke. If they had thrown some of that T/M's way they might have been able to squeek out a victory even with S/H having home advantage.

Sliusarenko/Trankov or Stolbova as they have been training with her recently (Boikova landed the throws again after a few problematic competitions)

I don’t think the Fed had to ever push M/G. They pushed themselves skating clean almost two entire seasons. If it wasn’t for them Russia wouldn’t have a gold at worlds for two entire cycles.
Yes they have but there PCS shouldn't be anything closer to S/H or T/M when they skate clean ... or so distant to B/K
