I hate seeing talented skaters like Isabeau having coaches who teach them such awful jump technique and bad basic skating it's not the that the talent isn't there but below average US coaches who are the problem.

That was close. I knew with lenient technical panel, that Isabeau’s ur would be overlooked. She pre-rotates a lot on the ice and her jumps have no flow and speed. That eu-3S was < in my eyes. Well, that was an exciting competition. I wonder what will happen next year.

Popping in to say hi though I haven’t been able to watch, and to express my gratitude to the junior women for saving my predictions after I bombed dance spectacularly

Problem is though there is more then one such coach like that in the US and not just at the top level but in the Juniors and lower levels Just look at how lacking Alysa was in her basic skating with her former coach and that is not unusual with the Junior ladies compared to the Korean or Japanese girls.

Like others, I worry that if she doesn't make some improvements, she'll be the next Caraline Zhang. A brilliant Junior who did well as a Senior but, never won a title as a Senior.

It was nice to see Lindsay skate well in the Free and pull herself up for the Bronze. I'm really interested in seeing Isabeau next season. Like others, I worry that if she doesn't make some improvements, she'll be the next Caraline Zhang. A brilliant Junior who did well as a Senior but, never won a title as a Senior.

Not to throw rocks at the girl after such an impressive season and an important win, but the scenario you describe isn't unlikely.

The young American girl with the best technique is Lindsay, and if I'm betting if Lindsay will get better programs and expression or Isabeau will get better technique... then I'm betting on Lindsay.

Anna Pezzetta went from 24th to 13th, and she was 9th in the free. She has a lot of talent.
Jia deserved to win the free and I think she is my favorite Korean. Not sure , because I like so many.
Japanese Federation should have chosen Hana Yoshida for this competition.
Lindsay is technically great she just needs Shae Lynne or Misha Ge to choreograph for her.
Isabeau should change coaches to either Rafael or at least go to TCC for summer camp.

I thought the judging was appropriate, the results were fine, and if it had skewed towards Jia, it would have been fine, too.

Over two programs, it was a tight race that could have gone either way.

I completely agree with these sentences. Lindsay does have the best technique and once she gets the right programs, I think her component scores will rise. As for Raf. With Nathan taking time off, he might be just what Isabeau needs. I worried that when he had Nathan, that's where all of his focus was directed. She deserves to be in a rink where she is the #1 Lady. Maybe Orser but, I don't have any idea who his top lady is. Is Jason going to continue for another season? She might fit in well with Orser.

Thank God Lindsay got the bronze. Lovely skating, her and Isabeau is the only girls who's doing the loop combo. Lindsay and Isabeau is the future of US women.
