Who's here for the summer?

I grew lots of sunflowers this summer (just gone, because I'm in the southern hemisphere). Grew them in pots indoors before when I lived in an apartment, but now I have a vege garden outside in a sunny spot! Some of them grew much taller than expected and were damaged by an early summer storm. I like the unusual coloured ones (brown and pale yellow). I might try some dwarf ones next year.
I have 4 sunflower gardens. The birds love them! This year they will have special meaning....
(Summer of 2016. Zenith is 16 now...deaf...mostly blind...but loves to go for walks and eat)

15 acres of ponderosa pine and volcanic rock......let me know if you need any pine cones....I have a pile so big you can see it from space! LOL!
Sunflower gardens have to be surrounded by fencing due to the deer.

OMG! I have a pine cone fetish. I pick them out hiking all the time, so the cellar is full of pine cone sacks :ROFLMAO:

How many you want? Ponderosas make cones ever three years. Every third year, 2/3rds of my trees make cones for some reason. 30,000 cones this year and counting. One year I sold 20,000 cones to Asia for a penny apiece. When I hike, I leave other folks cones alone :) Wait...PaulE says I have a significant other? I DID see someone in the house the other day between dog shows and dog classes...maybe its her?

Does anyone know what happened to youtubers Kailani craine (get ready with me competition videos, costume fittings, etc) and Eye Katie (an "older" American novice skater) and Patrick commentates Skating, and In The Loop ? In the off-season I know people don't post nearly as much, but I haven't heard from any of these channels in a while.

I am around and regularly adding to my various Grand Prix and Major Internationals video lists. I have newly begun adding Gala exhibitions for whatever I can find. It is now being listed in the format I have been most recently using - so yay less scrolling!

I am still working on Worlds 2013 - Worlds 2016 but still have links to my old lists until the new ones are done. Enjoy!

Way cool! I am alittle slow tonight having spent 5 hours behind a weed wacker working on way too tall grass on my 15 acres but I followed a link and liked/followed what I thing your channel is. Looks like a great place to do some destressing in these troubled times...For your hard work, here is a flower I am giving to my bestest friends (MFarone, and the rest of you...you know who you are...you get one too!) Its called a bitter root and grows only in volcanic outcroppings here. Due to our climate change, they are only now blooming.

Very beautiful vibrant flower! Thank you for sharing. As to my channel it really isn't a channel but a series of lists born out of pandemic frustration and need for a distraction. I was organizing my own collection of videos as competitions and decided to share with everyone. Golden Skate had been kind enough to indulge me. I wanted fans of all skating nations great and especially small to have a chance to relive an event as it happened. This way young and old can reference an event and skaters mentioned and not feel left out when someone mentions Tatiana Malinina for example.

I thought a lot about skaters who make the world feed but not televised coverage. None of the source material is mine and I do not have a channel or blog nor do I seek anything but happy skating fans looking for competitions and finding them in one place without hunting and pecking. If I've already made the lists once, why not share so others don't start from scratch.

Well, I didnt make it to the shoot. I developed a bacterial ear infection and my friend who I met in Big Timber MT got a flat and then got gout so bad he couldnt get his shoe on and it was 40-50 mph winds at the shoot site and then 100 degrees so we figured God was trying to tell us something, like the Yellowstone river we were watching might wash out the bridge to the site anyway. But had a good time at the Montana State Prison museum and seeing the Crazy Woman mountains again. Now its time to pack up my bike and head for Spearfish SD. Galpal is at a dog show so I am packing and watching Ruriko show me beautiful Sado Island (Next post)

Packing and Watching Ruriko show me beautiful Sado Island (Sadogashima). Japan is so interesting. Her vids are subtitled in 18 languages. She is on a solo 20 day tour of Japan. I love listening to her although of course I cant understand a word she says...young people are so full of life and joy...the whole world is new....
Not sure about the sea weed, Ruriko! So many nice empty roads to ride.

Thanks. iluvtodd. Ruriko is interesting. It would be easy to dismiss her as just another pretty model who greets her fans at motorcycle shows, who acts like a "girl", screaming when she goes over high bridges and up steel ferry access ramps, or going 178 mph on a race track...all of which are terrifying. But unlike Rick Steves, nothing she does is choreographed and read off of a teleprompter. She does a stream of conciousness type of tour and describes things we all do, like finding a spot in a parking area where our touring bikes are pointed up hill and in such a way that they will be easy to get off the side stand. She is college educated and is very good at doing bike road tests for the common person. She gets tired and hungry like the rest of us and listens to her fans who suggest places for her to go....little motels and restaurants....most of all, she is fun. I never knew these Japanese fishing boats existed....They still make them. Other cultures are fun to learn about, which is one of the reasons I cruise with crews from 50 different countries.
