Minsol's performance ability is simply mind-blowing, she's definitely a natural performer. Her extension is lacking in comparison to some of the other Korean skaters, but my god is she a wonderfully expressive skater.

Good morning/dzień dobry from Olivia Arena :)

You do know that you are the reason I decided to attempt to watch from the start today rather than just dipping in and out like last week. Because of your post about looking forward to seeing Minsol in the opening group.

And boys but it was worth the early start!

Hope you enjoyed it (I certainly did!), and I hope you enjoy the rest of the event!

Very flexible, and she really came alive towards the end of the skate. Some issues with the jumps, but good spins.

Three skaters in this group that I am particularly looking forward to (and who influenced my decision to watch this group).

Estonian skater Marianne MUST, Japanese-Peruvian skater Sorami TANAKA, and Bulgarian skater Chiara HRISTOVA.

And hoping that home country skater Wiktoria MAŁYNIAK and Kuwaiti Khairya ALKANDARI get on well too!

Is Khairya the first skater from Kuwait?

A half-cooked, sols decent photo of Minsol who is such a performer (there is ofc flower crown waiting for her and...get ready for some throwing actions attempts bc your Beatrice girl is feeling like risking lol)20221006_092527.jpg

Kind of giving me Eva Lotta-vibes, not necessarily in skating, but visually (ginger pony-tail and blue "ripped" dress are very Eva Lotta). She has nice potential, and she's already improved a lot from her first JGP assignment this season, well done.

Guys, any particular requests for photos? I can't promise my camera will behave, but will try :)

Last time she popped the Lutz, this time the Loop, I guess that is an improvement 🙈 Still giving me Bradie-vibes, with a Loena-type of program. Spins were a bit better today as well.

I wonder if Sorami have less access to rinks because she represents Peru, and can't train as much as others.
Because good thing that she doesn't have to fight for spots.
She seems a bit faster than last year though.

Oh, don't talk about cameras not behaving. The lid to the battery compartment on our trusty Olympus pocket camera broke a few years ago, and we have been taping it closed. But, it was a nuisance, and we've just about got fed up with it. So, when my parents went to London for a couple of days last month (they came home the day the Queen died), my Uncle lent them his Samsung pocket camera to see what they thought of it. And it was so hard to use! So, we've gone back to the Olympus while looking for a new one.

As for your question, of course you know what my answer will be. My kid, Stefania Yakovleva (CYP).

Hey, I think her jumps were a bit better today, that's good. This program is very funky - And choreographed by Miki Ando, of all people.

According to her ISU Bio, she does train in Nagoya. Unless you are saying that the skaters that still represent Japan are given preferential treatment when it comes to getting allocated ice time.

I loved this programme the first time I saw it, and I loved it again.

Time for our first Kuwaiti skater.
