What a great day of skating, so many wonderful performances.

The depth of pairs, Senior & junior, in Russia is amazing. I love the short of M/G, it suits them so well. Nice to see Moskvina at the boards enthusiastically using her clapper. All 6 couples were so enjoyable. I hope Akopova is ok, it’s no fun seeing her struggle, she seemed in good spirits in the K&C. The real surprise for me is B/P, I love a real classic couple.

The men skated well. A deserved big score for Kolyada and nice to see him skate clean. Gumenik in a well deserved 2nd and with Moskvina in the K&C with him. Places 3 to 5 are very close so plenty of room for changes in the free. I really enjoyed Yablokov but his spin error cost him. As said previously, a final group that was very easy on the eye.

I do admire Liza T but my personal fave was Muravieva. I guess the favourite in the free is Akatieva.
