Official standings for the RGP are already complete for juniors (except for boys who are just skating):

So do we know what it all means? Who qualified and such things? I guess it's not certain in this weird season..

What a grand battle of triple axels!:points:

My first reaction was Muravieva should have won, but after a while I realized she was a bit restrained artistically and first 3A was of poorer quality then Tuktamysheva's.
Anyway, ladies put on a show today, bravo!

The ladies were incredible. Muravieva and Tuktik both held their nerve and executed. I'm seriously impressed by what I watched. Both have put themselves in contention to be champion of Russia/World in 4 weeks time. Yet another Russian GP stage with higher quality than we'll see at the ISU "world championship" next year.

Russian ladies and pairs are in their own league. ❤️

What a way to end the GP season. The margin of victory was microscopic.

Both ladies did great and the “this could have gone either way” cliche certainly applies here.

And Alina with a well earned medal too.

I hope these GP‘s become a permanent part of the calendar.

On to the jumping contest next weekend, the final appetizer before the main course at the end of the month.

As crazy as it sounds, Mr Mishin is the coach of the season so far.

And Liza has more prize money to go shopping with. Haha

Sofia should have won. Aside from being more expressive there is nothing else going for Elizaveta pcs being 3 pts more than Sofia. There is literally no skating skills aside fom 2 foot skating. People like to call out the Eteri girls for their little jumps and overglorify Elizaveta clean technique jumps. They're just as small and low. At least the Eteri girls have speed and transistions into them. Elizaveta has literally no power into them. And you would think someone of her physical build would have more.

There is many things that you can say about Liza, no skating skills? yes, comparing to Sofia
no/poor transitions? most probably, yes
Overscored in PSC? Definitely yes, same as Valieva and Sasha.

But small jumps and no power into them? That is just pure hating and bs. Did you blink when she jumped those two 3As? and did you look away when she posted clean quads few weeks ago?

This.
And the exit/transition out of her second triple axel was just stunning. So easy, as if it was nothing for her.

Her separate jumps are light, high and textbook, but her 3-3 combos (if she manages to land them at all!) are shaky in most cases.

I wouldn't say "most cases" but yes they are shaky sometimes.
The reason she struggles to add the 3T on 3Lz is because she is struggling to keep the Lutz flat, which you have to do if you have to add a combo.
If you gain too much height you will lose all the momentum for landing it and then you have to jump a 3T from a standstill, which is not an easy thing to do.

So again, this small and low jumps is just a bs.

Most people are probably still thinking about the PCS scoring last quad. The current scoring system favor skaters like Liza. Who performs the heck out of her routine with control and command.

Before overloaded transitions means skating skills and racks you points but now it can actually work against you. Quality vs Quantity is now the name of the game.

Here are some of the criteria for scoring the new PCS that fits Liza just like a glove.

1. Variety of edges, steps, turns, movements, and directions

2. Clarity of edges, steps, turns, movement, and body control. Liza is so far ahead of Sofia in this category.

3. Balance and glide are the ability of the blade to glide on the ice without friction.

4. Flow is the ability of the whole body to move smoothly, harmoniously, and effortlessly, starting from a fluid knee and ankle action.

5. Power and speed are your ability to display energy and speed. Liza all the way. Hells yeah!

6. Moving on to composition. This focuses on how your program is designed or built with regard to the music.

7. Unity is a coherent entity with all parts appropriately combined, contributing to a sense of completeness.

8. Connections between and within elements.

9. A unit of movement is a block: element, movement, element. The element becomes part of the flow of the movement.

10. The choreography reflects musical phrases and form.

11. Expressiveness and projection. Liza all the way!!

12. Musical sensitivity and timing are your ability to move accurately and consistently as required by the characteristics of the music and its elements, melody, rhythm, harmony, tempo dynamics, and articulation.

I could have literally copy pasted all the guidelines here because it felt like it was based on her.

The idea that because skater x did a gazillion turns means good skating skills is what ISU is trying to burry.

You are the first person I've ever heard call Liza's basic skating fast and powerful, most people who have seen her live seem to agree that while her jumps are indeed big and powerful, the same can't really be said about her skating itself, which is said to be rather on the slower side.

It was quite visibly slower next to Sofia.
