I don't think USFS has never not sent the top 3 from nationals excluding age restrictions or one of skaters/teams opting out

I checked the prohibited items list for the Broadmoor arena and they didn't include anything about stadium seats. I'd call just to make sure you can bring one

Jason, Ilia and Knierim/Frazier are booked for an ice show in Europe at the same time as 4CC so they won’t be going. Not sure about any others.

I think the point is, the top three have the option to go, the USFS would send the top three if they chose to go. They may not choose to go, (do shows, skip it) but that is the skaters' decision, not the USFS.
I don't think that's correct. I believe in the early years of 4CC, the US usually sent skaters who were NOT going to worlds. That has changed more recently, except in Olympic years. In Olympic years, lots of countries send non-World athletes to 4CC, with a few exceptions for countries near the 4CC venue.

Some house keeping. For food, the Outback and the Carrabbas and Chilis are fine for lunch/dinner. There are a few Pizza parlors, etc near also. The old world bakery is the only place IIRC for a protein breakfast. The liquer/cigarette store where you could find all the Chinese coaches I think is MIA. (You are gonna have a bit of a walk to the liquer store. But a short Uber ride.) I think it was where the Target store now is, but there is one a mile away to the North East.. Target may sell beer and wine coolers but I dont know for sure....But having breakfast lunch and dinner and a target store nearby is a big plus. If traveling with a backpack and a carry on works for me at nats, I will do that for Four CCs.

I think the location of 4CC always factors into the decision for Canada and the US. When 4CC is being held in a location halfway around the world just a week or two after these countries’ Nationals, the top finishers are more likely to opt out.
Fortunately, this year’s 4CC is in North America, and so is much more accessible. I would expect to see all the top US and Canadian skaters except those already committed to that poorly-scheduled show, or anyone sick/injured etc

Well, the skaters always had the option of declining the poorly scheduled show.
I can see why Jason, the king of shows this year and skipping most comps, is doing "Art on Ice" (and there are clips of him practicing dance in LA with the cast, so he seems integrated into the show) and less interested in his seventh 4CC, or whatever it would be.
Why other skaters who are competing full time would skip 4CC in the US for this show makes less sense to me (particularly younger ones). Yes. my head knows:

I am assuming you mean Olde World Bagel & Deli and not Old World Bakery. There is an Old World Bakery in Co Springs but it is about a 15 minute drive away and a German Delicatessen... not sure about hot breakfast (But I am tempted by the sausages now).
The target having any liquor is very unlikely as it is not a super target. So i would stock up early in the week to avoid another trip. The target does have a Starbucks if you are desperate for breakfast sandwich near by.
One other food option to keep in mind (including protein breakfast) is the DoubleTree.

I will also be interested to see which hotel has the best breakfast spread! I am hoping i can make a good use of that to save money.
Also as a bonus, the Bagel place has a sandwich called the Olympian, which i found cute given their location. I wonder if it has a story.
I want try this place and the local pizza place... i am not as into chains but am sure i will end up at some of the options. i am hoping to find the energy to go through and figure out which ones if any have deals on certain days and plan accordingly.

If I make it out of Nats sans covid, then at 4ccs I may loosen up a bit and eat with people at sane places. For now, the whole foods store has everything I need. Its a two minute walk away.

I would like to add my voice to, and emphasize what @Seven Sisters said, do GO TO THE PRACTICES. Here are some numbers to consider.My top tip: GO TO THE PRACTICES. Yes, I know they usually start early in the morning. But they are often the very best part of any comp. You can sit right up against the ice surface no matter where your “official” seats are; you will meet all kinds of skaters just wandering around; and the insights you gain are invaluable.
You will thank me later!
If you have a favorite skater or two (as I do), when you watch a comp on TV their short program lasts less than 3 minutes and the long program lasts 4 minutes. The programs are usually followed by a short slo-mo look back. If we assume the look back is about half the comp time that gives about 10-11 minutes. They may show the skater for about a minute before and after they skate so that possibly adds 4 minutes so we are up to about 15 minutes of watching time on TV with possibly a minute (6 skaters skating for 6 minutes during each warm up focused on our skater if they show the warm ups. So, on TV we may see our favorite skater for 17 minutes total for both programs.
If we attend the competition we can watch our favorite skater during the entire 6 minute warm up times so live attendance gives us maybe 27 minutes of viewing time of our favorite skater.
By going to one practice, if we only have one favorite skater on ice during the practice, we can watch that skater for the full 40 minutes of the practice or 20 minutes if we have 2 favorite skaters. Attending just one practice allows to watch your skater for more time than the total for the SP and FP competitions! And there are usually at least two practices for each discipline that you can watch. When we go to the competitions, my buddy Coyote Chris and I usually plan to spend 8 to 12 hours at the rink each day. (At least that is what we used to do—we're both getting older so it is tough to keep that up.)
Attending practices for the Junior Ladies at 2007 Nats in Spokane is what started my wife and I going to a bunch of live competitions. We were watching a junior practice when we saw Mirai Nagasu and her coach who was sitting just below us. We could not hear what was being said but just watching the gestures and facial expressions during their interchanges at the boards was fascinating. We fell in love with the junior ladies and Mirai in particular which led to us attending Junior Worlds a couple of weeks later and then attending two Junior Grand Prix events in the fall plus the Junior Grand Prix Final in December of that year. Whenever we watched a practice with Mirai in it we both would spend most of our time just watching Mirai.
I love the practices
and one of the biggest reasons I like to go to competitions is to see the practices.

LOL just a bit neurotic. Honestly my thinking was we are having people coming to this event not just from other states, but other countries. So I kinda like accuracy. Someone who is not familiar with the area and possibly even the language could get confused by something small like this, so i wanted to clear things up and maybe avoid problems if i can. I mean to be honest when i read your post i got excited about an undiscovered bakery in the area!
.... also what Whole Foods are you talking about that is so close? One of my annoyances has been the lack of a near grocery store.

Good point about people from other lands. I don't know if other countries have google maps in their own language. If I were comimg to 4 ccs from Romania, I would make paper maps or screen shots of the walkable area around the hotel and arena and see what I need.

I was confused about whether your were talking about USNats or 4CC when you mentioned Whole Foods. I guessed it wasn't 4CC, but others may have guessed differently.
Google maps is only your friend if you are in the right city/event!

And good idea on the screenshots from your own country!
Also I think a lot of us see you as a bit of an expert on these events... so please don't take a offence if i pitch in... you have a lot of wisdom to share.

For 4CC there does appear to be a King Soopers (Kroger if that is more familiar) and a Safeway southwest of the event, but what i would call too far of a walk. My family that lived there said they remember the Safeway being the nicer of the two (also a bit farther by like two minutes) but it appears to have a liquor store as well.
