except when they decide to really hammer Conrad. Then, the PCS makes a difference but towards the bottom.

Just echoing everyone else: I get that Kao wins overall, and deserved, but wins the LP?
Nah. And every time I see Kao skate, he is adorable *after* the skate. If he brought that *to* the skate, he'd be even better.

(I’m trying to remember if I bombed mens predictions even harder than women’s though… it’s possible given I got zero points for Junhwan since I put him first… 10 points on Shun though..,)
Love that Keegan got the highest skating skills score here. He often doesn't get enough credit for that in my opinion. I remember reading an article a few years back where he talked about putting a concerted effort into improving his skating skills after seeing Patrick Chan skate.

I’m glad JFed split the major assignments this year. It’s a waste to send the top guys to every single major. Two Japanese men - who aren’t going to Worlds - are still on the podium.
Messing had the skate of the night. It’s amazing that he gets his first major international medal at the end of his career.

I did some low level judging back in the day and judged Ravi when he was a teenager going through a growth spurt. He looked like a crane fly on the ice, tall and skinny, all gangly long legs and arms, but he coped. If anyone can relate to and coach a tall young male skater with wonky technique it's Ravi.super tall... 183 cms
his technique has improved a lot... sometimes... it still gets wonky... but Ravi is taking him somewhere else and it's wonderful to see his progress... he was at TCC before... it wasn't working out... but the real damage was probably done by his first coach... (navarro) ... awful technique when he started.. and he was landing all quads (but axel) but all of them were weird... I have been following since juniors and well... i am super biasedbut very happy for him...

more people should follow Keegan in recognizing Patrick's skills. Keegan got two 10s from judges. (one for SS and one for PR)
