To no one's surprise, Jason is staying in Japan. But any special reason for Tokyo? (other than that is closer to Saitama than the Notte Stellata venues)
Happy Riverdance Day!
And Jason asks in his IG stories, should he bring the program back for Year 10: Yes. No. Exhibition Number.
He is also shocked the costume still fits.

I agree completely!!! I was there in Boston that day and it was even more magical in person than what we see on video. The energy he created in that arena cannot be described. That being said, I realize after watching the video again how much more he has evolved and would love to see what he could do with the music and choreography now. Fans can dream.Love it! I'd actually be really curious to see how he and Rohene could tweak this and make it even better now. Watching it today, I thought it was wonderful, as always, but I was also really aware of how much Jason has grown as a technical skater and performer. He was wonderful then. He's incredible now. I say bring on Riverdance 2.0!
https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp7ax8Fhdq4/ Jason had ice time in Tokyo. He posted a thank you to the rink and training group. Practices start on Monday. I assume that Tracy will meet him there.
)The IG Post in Japanese (according to Bing translate) says he trained with Rinka-chan and Rinka-chan's coach.
I assume that is Rinka Watanabe, I am very sad to say I would not recognize her and so the second photo in the post is not much help? I don't know who her coach is. (I also assume thanks for the link means thanks for the rink)
Bing Translate of Japanese portion:
This week, I trained with Rinka-chan and Rinka-chan's coach! Fun! Thank you very much for Ice Time! Thanks for this link too! Good luck at the World Championships!

I had not seen that before. Thank you!Apologies if this has already been posted, but I just ran across this video interview that Self Magazine posted about 3 months ago and thought I’d share for anyone like me who missed it. It’s great! It’s mostly about training and staying healthy but he talks a lot about how he’s he’s changed over the years - so interesting! I am super impressed by his poise, maturity, and ability to articulate his thoughts.

He also says J is practicing 3A-2A and that he fell on a 3FPractice reports from Jackie Wong say that Jason is not practicing the final lunge into the 3F for the Impossible Dream.
Thank the skating gods.Cool move, but too much risk for a competition.
He also says J is practicing 3A-2A and that he fell on a 3F(followed by an apparently clean 3F)

So two things: (1) he did a clean one right after, and (2) someone in Jackie’s replies noted that in one of his shows he switched the knee slide to a spin entry.Jason falling on his money jump, the flip, is frustrating. But he does have better odds without the lunge.
can I also jump off and say just how much more fun this Worlds is as a Jason fan? Whatever he does is gravy. Of course I may not feel that way come very early Thursday (my tIme)![]()
Honestly, this is the most wildly unpredictable Men's event in forever! I think it is Shoma's to lose, but we shall see! There are about a dozen different realistic outcomes! So two things: (1) he did a clean one right after, and (2) someone in Jackie’s replies noted that in one of his shows he switched the knee slide to a spin entry.
On the other hand Jackie is predicting he’ll place fourth and if squeaky clean he has a shot at a medal. I always hate those predictions!
