Wow! Just caught up… watched the two Canadian teams and they were solid. My goal, after the SP, was to have one Canadian team in the final group, another in the penultimate group, with the third team in the third last group. Looks like Benjamin and Brooke may just miss it. But, their scores are close enough to contend for a top ten spot. Lia and Trentt skated the best they could. Could they really make it to the second last group? That would be amazing! They just need to outscore one of the 8 teams that remain. Lia should switch to Pairs.

I thought the Germans had the best presentation, despite the fall. The Hungarians amazed me with the throw triple lutz. They are good technical skaters. They just need to focus on presentation, a bit more.

What an exciting competition. I’m rooting for Deanne in the next group and then the Japanese in the final group.

As they like to play Mario Kart, I guess they don't mind more breaks

My kids have been on a Mario Kart kick the past week or two, so your cat gif made us laugh. It does look like that! I just think if they're going to have 5 groups they might as well do 6 groups and let 24 teams through. That stray single group then resurface again seems like wasted opportunity.

Four per group makes a lot of sense for collision prevention. One group then resurface just seems wrong to me.
