2022-23 Russian Local Events – Discussion

does anyone have the result page for this?
I couldn't find it anywhere, but I managed to make it based on previous links.

Thank you so much!

They have really made it hard to find, I normally find Russian competition result links rather easily with little work and doodle translate but for this competition its so hard to track down.

Bulycheva has done great job with Novikova there's clear improvements since the beginning of the season, She has been with Bulycheva since 2019 so I wasn't expecting her to suddenly improve like this as she is 14 turning 15 in 2 months already. Her 2A technique to is still so horrendous I dont know if they can fix it but I sure hope they do.

Has Alisa's dress always had this much orange? I feel like it looks different :scratch2:

Shame about the fall on the 4Lz, she almost had it, but well done otherwise ❤️

Sadly Masha couldn't recreate her success in sp in the free but other than the 2 mistakes this was a good skate from her far better than what we have seen during mid season from her at least. Its been a long exhausting season for her filled with struggles after a great start. Im hoping she put it behind her and come back stronger next season:console:

Shame about the fall on the second 4T and 3Lz, but this was still a decent skate for Masha. She's gotten much better at picking herself back up after falls, instead of letting it affect the rest of her skate.

The first 4T was probably under, but her jumps in general seem to be getting a decent bit more lift and height than at the beginning of the season. I'd recommend switching out the second 3Lz for a 3F, the Lutz just isn't particularly natural for her, and the slight difference in BV is not worth the risk. She still consistently has the issue of rushing her take-offs and pulling in too early, causing her to go off-axis and fall or pop (see her second 4T and 3Lz respectively), but it seems to be getting better bit by bit.

Btw as im now seeing Nika and Alenas mom in the battle of schools its making me wonder what's going on with Alena? She was enrolled in some competition but always WD? Has she competed in 2023 yet?

I think Moskvich might actually win the sports round, especially with this skate from Mark.

Their weakness lies in the younger age girls but other than that they are really strong in all 3 other categories.

CSKA has a huge loss which is Alena P they had to sub on Alena N who isnt nearly as strong but they brought the older boys to compete in the 2nd sport category so that will make up for it.

Khrystalny switched on Kira and Yuliana to the younger age girls round replacing Marina and Polina with them but Alexey is very likely to end up last in the 1st sport category which will pull them down and Kirill Z in the 2nd sport category isnt match to the older boys that cska has brought on so that will hold them back.

A great skate from Ilya, but its so weird to see him skate in this category after 2 season of competing in the 1st sport category 😅

Are you allowed to do 2 X-2A seq combos? I though it was only 1 allowed.
oddly enough during the younger age novice nats I saw lots of skater do 2 of them, so im wondering if its allowed during the 2nd sport category?

3As were not working for Dobromir today so he ended up getting a rep:console: Cska gained a sizable advantage going into the next rounds due to that I think.

Poor kid looks so disappointed :(

Shockingly it wasn't Kirill who struggled too much other than his final spin but Artem, poor kid struggled hard with 3lz, a jump he doesn't normally struggle with, its especially disappointing considering he has preformed 2 fully clean frees in competition in the last 3 weeks. This alongside Dobromir struggling gives CSKA a huge advantage going forward.

If Kirill hadn't fallen off the last spin he would have kept Khrystany in the gold battle even with Artems struggles. Kira and Yuliana need to be 1st and 2nd to keep any hopes of the gold alive, I dont know how likely that is.

Moskvich big hurdle will be the 2nd sport girls they are not strong there if they survive this they can pull it back in the 1st sport category as their line up looks quite strong. Im really interested to see how Arina will fair if she recreates the free from her last comp it will definetly spice things up.

For now my prediction is:
🥇Cska
🥈Moskvich
🥉Khrystany

But it all could change with one bad free.

With Kira struggling as well I think Cska gold medal has become far more secured, no matter what happens in the older girls category.
