2023 JGP Osaka Women's Free Skate

as I feared Rinky is feasting on Mia's quads
Yup, I expected that too.... good on her for ditching the quad on the 2nd half though.

I honestly don't know how she can land her quads with almost no speed going to her jumps like that though :( I think working on her skating skills might actually help on her quads as well.

I hate when people like Ted pretend 14 year olds having quads means they will only get better.
They have to know these girls usually have them because they are 14, not despite being 14.
I wish Mia all the best and maybe she will actually get better and will have a great senior career. But statistics say the more likely way is that her technical content will go down and she will not have the skating skills to catch her. So if you're someone with knowledge in the sport, at least just stay quiet on this.

Can't fault Mia for going for it. Hopefully using this Junior comp as a building experience. She has lovely extension even if jumps were not there today.

Didn't notice, Mia took the lead in both the FS and overall. So, Olivia's reign in the FS is now over.

With the random draw, it is too complicated to work out the slay count right now while the competition is ongoing. But, suffice to say, it will be big.
