NoHas it been officially announced?

Interesting. If they deleted it, I wonder if someone refuted that she went to TT.No
It was the rumour
But journalists who posted it now deleted it![]()
Looking at Rsport girls short program articles last comments seems like someone posted a link to a photo of Lera in Khrystany (?) I didnt click on the link cause I dont know the website but other commented that it was blurry so maybe that is where the journalist got the rumor from.No

They have Petrosian doing the first two weeks (she is not in good form by her standards but I expect to improve). Akatieva has already withdrawn from one GP event and I doubt she can be anywhere close to 100% by nationals, Kamila's was forced to skate the later rounds due to eye surgery and it's not clear if she will skate in Kazan, Liza has quit at the worst time when schedules have been arranged and tickets sold (or waiting to change citizenship), Shcherbakova and Trusova have mislead the federation of their real intentions this season (three of the 9 people on the national and reserve squads are taking a vacation), Samoldelkina has defected (I assume it is still on track), Gorbacheva seems to have not restored her quad and after her ordeal I don't hold high hopes for this season, Sinitsyna has a stress fracture and could only do double axels at test skates, Maia Kromykh withdrew from the first stage with an injury, I think I'm missing someone else who withdrew from the first stage.Would you care to elaborate
Not even a mention of Muravieva. Lamentable - im offended. They have Petrosian doing the first two weeks (she is not in good form by her standards but I expect to improve). Valieva and Zhilina both bring some excitement to the series, but it's really bereft of talent now. Looks like a Valieva, Zhilina, Petrosian podium at nationals in any order. If Akatieva can some how get to 100% then the top 4 most talented skaters will be still competing and that's all that matters really, but it kind of falls away after that.
For every 'star' that drops back there are three more waiting in the wings. The Novice group last year was the strongest I've ever seen. It is Circle of Life and survival of the fittest. I believe this year will be weak, but next year we start gearing up for the Olympics and I expect Russian skating to come back full force. Yes, there will be new faces, but Kamila, Sasha, Ana, Liza and Aliona had their opportunities to shine, it's time for the new generation to move in and hopefully, God Willing, be able to compete in the Olympics, if not the next two years. There are always Maia's and Daria's-like Taraknakova-whose time is brief-it is just a sad part of the sport. They have Petrosian doing the first two weeks (she is not in good form by her standards but I expect to improve). Yeah maybe it's wishful thinking from me as well, but it would make sense. It is strange she wouldn't do just one farewell show at the next GP. No-one would care if she just jumps double axels, every seat would be sold. The series is now so starved of talent that organisers wouldn't see it as disrespectful to not turn up in optimal shape taking a spot from someone else, they would welcome the publicity.
Once she switches countries she can't make money from the Russian shows while skating for another country, so make as much as she can over the next 6 months. I don't think it's her plan, but certainly something that's probably crossed her mind and she's leaving herself the option on the table by not resetting the 12 month timer back to zero by burning a competitive start.
Two years since the request from an another federation was considered by the executive committee for a Russian national team member. It's 12 months if a fed is willing to release a skater, at least 24 if they don't want to, is that correct?
Juniors Dvoeglazova falling multiple times, Titova no ultra-c, Zhilina withdrawing, drought continues...![]()
On 7-8th of September 2019 at test skates Trusova and Shcherbakova launched quad after quad even in the warmup.Man its the first month
Its a juniors stage, and we get upset when its not Olympic level. Are we just that good, that anything below perfect is a failure?
Russian fans have insane cognitive dissonance. Convinced were the best but cant say anything positive about our scene.
At least lets the finals finish before we dumpster the year. Still nobody could give a good response to my earlier points, but just keep spamming hard about anything thats negative.
Dvoeglazova comes from an injury, she'll be fine. After all, she nearly won, it was incredibely close. Next time she'll be even stronger, I'm quite sure about that...Juniors Dvoeglazova falling multiple times, Titova no ultra-c, Zhilina withdrawing, drought continues...![]()

Grass was greener, air cleaner and we witnessed peak of Russian ladies figure skating, let's face the truth.
There goes that theory of mine. She could switch countries now if she wanted to.Two years since the request from an another federation was considered by the executive committee for a Russian national team member.
If a federation is willing to release a skater, it's 12 months from the last international competition.

And if the ban is not lifted, it will only get worse. But at least watching RGP still beats watching Skate America.Zhilina's withdrawal takes away much of the intrigue of this event now. I watched Petrosian and Zacharova a week ago, it's difficult to get excited seeing them again straight away, I would be shocked if Gorbacheva has restored her quad.
Valieva is the only skater with any drawing power at this point, if she does perform in Kazan it will require a hasty last minute flight to Kazan Friday evening if all goes well for her that afternoon.
I had high hopes for this season, but it's no longer live on Youtube so more difficult to watch, so many injuries and withdrawals which have diluted the quality, albeit still a long way ahead of international competitions (the winner of this weekend's international event will probably win with one 3-3 in the free). It's understandable athletes and coaches taking zero risk this season especially when there are shows to perform. The government hands out grants for these boring shows that wouldn't be economically viable otherwise, then skaters miss competition or performances degrade because of the time spent on the shows. Seems like the government is cannibalising their figure skating competition by offering these grants to the shows.
