For Skate America I used the Opera internet browser which has a free inbuilt VPN. You need to turn the VPN on and set it to 'Europe' before you go to the Skating ISU youtube page. Last year, the ISU stream for Skate America was geoblocked here (but could be viewed with an appropriate VPN), but the other senior GPs and the GP final were then available. I don't know whether the same will happen this year.Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere how do you watch the Grand Prix series in the UK?
Hmm. I've just had a look, and he doesn't seem to have competed anywhere this season. He seems a bit young to retire though. It looks like Graham Newberry is not competing at British Nationals (I saw this in a different forum). That's a real pity. Does anyone know if he's retired/injured?
My dog Willow got me introduced to the British Pairs Skaters at Skate America. I was walking outside the arena waiting for my relatives to finish watching the medal ceremonies when a nice man (later identified as Jason their coach) beckoned us over to meet Willow. He introduced Ana as a British Pairs skater and I told him how great it was to meet them. I said that I was the fan that held up the British flag when they finished their skate and that I had that flag in honor of my late wife who was from Malvern near Worcester. Jason then introduce me to Luke and then said this is Jenna. My comment "Jenna McCorkell?" was greeted with a nod and I said that I remembered her well as well as her husband Kevin and I had brought a Belgian flag with me as well. We had a nice long conversation and then Jason said they were all headed out to get a pint.
During the whole conversation, Ana was kneeling down on eye level stroking and talking to Willow. I was extremely impressed with how sweet Ana was and will be a dedicated fan of hers for life.
I apologize if I have the wrong short name for Anastasia but I think Ana was what Jason used when he introduced her. They were such a nice group of people and made it a very pleasant and happy way to end the evening.

Kevin was not here. From the little bit that Jenna said it sounds like they both have a hectic schedule. I believe she commented that she would only see him for a day or two when she got home and then he would be off somewhere for something to do with skating. Was Kevin with Jenna? He was looking after most of the Irish skaters (from both sides of the border) at the Tayside Trophy the week before, so it would have been pretty hectic for him to get to Texas, bearing in mind that he was still in Dundee on the Wednesday. So, I guess they split duties.
You know, over the years, I always got the impression that the whole team from Dundee were lovely people. So, I am glad that you got to meet some of them, and found the same.
Thank you for sharing. It's always good to hear stories that show that the skaters are genuinely lovely human beings.

According to the ISU, British Eurosport should provide us with coverage in Ireland and UK but I sadly seems there will be no TV coverage at all, what is happening on Eurosport player I haven't checked yetSorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere how do you watch the Grand Prix series in the UK?

Hello, yes, long time, I have to say I am not so invested in FS these days, as I used to. Departure of my favourite Mikhail Kolyada hit me hard. If there was TV coverage I'd certainly watch recorded programs as it is not I am not even particularly upset, with everything that is happening in the world right now, it seems to be so insignificant. Hopefully better times will come. Hope all is well with you.Hello. Long time no speak! Good to see you on here again.
Trust nothing the ISU says!
Eurosport put out a statement a few days ago about their Winter Sports coverage:
https://media.discoverysports.com/p...over-with-wall-to-wall-world-cup-coverage-on-
The final footnote is probably the most important bit for us:
ISU Figure Skating, ISU Speed Skating and Short Track World Cup coverage excludes Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, the UK and Ireland.
It still doesn't provide clarity for those of us in the British Isles. Viaplay was supposed to be showing it in the UK this season, but then they announced that they were pulling out of all markets apart from the Netherlands and the Nordic countries. And we don't know if they still have the skating rights, or if they handed them back.
All we know is that there has been no sign of any skating coverage on either Viaplay's linear channels or their website.
As you probably know, it was only the UK operation that Premier Sports sold to Viaplay. Premier held onto the Irish operation. So, I haven't a clue if anybody owns the skating rights in Ireland.
What we in the UK have been doing is watching the World Feed coverage on the ISU's YouTube channel through a VPN. And that method would also work in Ireland. But, that is not much use for people like you who live in areas that do not have great internet.
I really wish British Eurosport hadn't lost the rights. Because what we have now in these islands is a real mess.

Agreed! Just wonder what is the best way to contact them ?We should all contact ISU to explain the situation with Eurosport UK, and to demand that they stream the remainder of the season’s competitions on their YouTube channel.
