2023-2024 Russian Nationals Jumping Championships

I believe he is transitioning, but competes in men. Not that it should matter....
I don't know where you got that from, but I'm not convinced that's true. I've certainly found no indications anywhere by him, his coaches or anyone else that this is the case, and I'm sure this wouldn't stay quiet for long 😅

Yes and she likely wont, but the point was that her PCS isnt low that she would be struggling by senior standards in her current form.
Hmm, probably makes so much more sense to not mix the two brackets, but that's just me. The whole 'they would have won X' is rather pointless without actual competition participation

Oh, okay! So how do they pick in addition to 3 winners?
Pairs: M/G and B/K (top 2 at Nats), O/G and Ch/Ya (the highest result excluding M/G and B/K)
Men: Semenenko, Dikidzhi and Gumennik (top 3 at Nats), Popov, Lazarev and Fedotov (top 3 here)
Women: Petrosian, Muravieva (top 3 at Nats), Bazylyuk, Kostyleva (medalists here). It's a good question how they replace withdrawn Valieva and decide the last spot. I think Koltsova and Gordeeva.

Who is the other invited guest. I only saw Tuktik.
Nobody knows

HISTORY!! 4SEu4S

Unbelievable stuff. I thought Adelia was the new senior quad queen after watching her performance, Trusova never had that kind of stability in her. I thought what Adelia achieved was impressive, and it certainly was.

Bazyluk comes along and that is the most impressive jumping performance I have ever seen I don't think we will see anything like that again in history. Only equaled at best. Bazyluk was the first. If she puts on a little bit of weight in the next 12 months I can't imagine her maintaining it, but very impressive. Hopefully she can maintain at least a couple of single quads when she becomes a senior.

I went to see who you are talking about. He just seems to be on the Johnny Weir's level of affirmation.

I guess the other invited skater is a man and probably someone who is not competing right now. My bet is on Kolyada.

She is truly the perfect storm in this moment

I actually dont think shes the peak. Well, I dont think a 4S-1-4S is the peak. I think after what we saw today, if Russia wins 2026 and theres a FS popularity explosion again there and the most talented girls join our sport, then a pure 4-4 will happen (if Bazyluk doesnt, which I actually think she will).

The trick is always to keep that jumping content in seniors, of course.

So, heh, Popov and Petrosyan are the sole senior reps in the winners.

Outside of the Russia the best junior in the world has landed 1 of her last 9 quads in international competition.

Bazyluk has just landed two in about 3 seconds in the same combo.

She just has to keep a 3A to be dangerous in international senior competition my money is on her keeping a few jumps as singles at the very least.

Now that's the individual's are done, can someone who understands technical requirements to jumps can give me a solid technical reason why Semenenko was getting 4s in GoE for his jumps, and Popov was getting 2s? At a glance Popov has height, length, air body position and exits that looks far more esthetically pleasing. The only thing I picked up from TAT is that she said Popov uses medium pace on entry. Is Semeneko that much faster? Or? @Flying Feijoa if you watched it?

Let her change country and go against Shimada. I would absolutely love to see that. Or whoever is going to be the quad queen next season, heh.
